I agree with both these statements…although the fact that WoW has nothing to do with this demotivational. Because although there are Paladins in WoW…the focus was on the fact that they were Lawful Good, and in WoW unless it changed for some asinine reason, you cannot declare an alignment. At least that’s what i took away from it.
or maybe it metaphorically mean christianity hides its real side? Its a religion with a long history of violence. christianity is “male chauvinistic” and biased. As long as u dont believe in that religion u go to hell?? what if the person is a good person but just agnostic by social culture? his only sin wud be he is a non believer of which he would be sent to hell becoz of that. Infact almost all religions follow the same concept, you either go to hell or get reborn as some low life creature…. what a bunch of bull…
acutally..thats just some dope headed “born again” christians that just because they f**ked up in life they think theyre going to hell.Really Christianity is about jesus and helping others. and yes you do have a point..some christians are really weird like how they make you destroy stuff that doubts god.And no Christianity is not “male chauvinistic” and whoever told u that is a dope head.and yes it does have a history of violence
Um, Whargarble, since WoW is basically an extension of D&D ideas, and has paladins which are also considered Lawful Good entities, I think it safe to say it applies to both games. Let us fully embrace the younger geeks among us, that they may perpetuate geekdom into the future…
@jasbirjohn – Whoa, you seriously need to chill out. Maybe people like you are half the reason Christians and Agnostics/Atheists constantly argue… Obviously, the other half of the reason are people who are FOR Christianity and act like you.
4th ed. Failed so hard. i played 4th ed. for a while, went back to 3.5 and found that while the character creation process was sped up and skills are a little easier because they summed it up into smaller general categories…all i see in edition 4 was Wizards attempt to make D&D more WoW based and took away from the Tolkien base we old gen gamers came to know and love.
It’s like…yes i understand that my “moves/powers” are what causes me to do stuff but really, how about you use your brain noodle for five seconds (with which if i might add is the ENTIRE point of D&D) and imagine what you’re doing instead of being prompted by the power system.
I also miss edition 1…back when things were right and there were no feats or skills. you went solely off your stats.
@jasbirjohn – The difficulty that you’re presenting with Christianity (and the idea that is tangentally being poked at in this lampoon poster) is: “what IS ‘good’ in the world”? The Christian answer (which has NOTHING to do with Male Chauvinism) is simply “Good, is whatever God requires or names as ‘good’ in His Word.” So, to answer your question, a Christian is simply someone who believes that (as the Bible says in Psalm 51) we are all born “sinful” and in need of a Savior because we can’t get rid of the sinfulness ourselves. That’s why God became incarnate as Jesus, the Messiah. (The whole reason for Christmas!) Jesus did all the “good” that we can’t do on our own, in order to earn heaven for us. Then, with His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus credited us with His righteousness as a free and undeserved gift. The so-called “good deeds” that we do now today, are simply in response to that gracious gift of salvation. True, there are some so-called “churches” today that try to sell God’s free gift – but the fact remains that the gift is, indeed, free to all who believe in Jesus. He died and came back to life, so that you can live forever. As far as I can tell, that’s a pretty positive message in a world full of negativity and pain. Merry Christmas all. -PadreSean
I think that arguments about Christianity here are missing the point. This isn’t a religion message, but an successful attempt at humor. It’s not theological, it’s just funny.
WoW Paladins are NOT Lawful Good. The Alliance is Evil in the Warcraft universe, generally speaking. Just because they are pretty doesn’t make them good.
technically, they’re not paladins, they’re clerics, which can be any alignment, good or evil. and since they’re catholic nuns, that would make them lawful evil… imo…
Kicking ass for the Lord!
As a World of Warcraft fan, I must say that I almost fell out of my chair, then had to run tell my roommate about it!!
ROFL!
It’s a Dungeons and Dragons joke, not WoW. >.>
In this case, utterly no difference.
As if WoW isn’t based on D&D anyway, I mean seriously now.

Of course in 4th Edition D&D paladins can be any alignment, as long as they follow their god’s alignment.
4th Ed also stinks. D:
False
Your declaration of False, being incorrect AND not supported by the evidence (how much 4E sucks), is canceled.

Come on, folks, this is just a picture of nuns with rifles. Maybe the Vatican’s elite BLessed Virgin Infantry. It’s HUMOR, folks…………………
Nuns with guns! Awesome!
Can almost hear them saying, “You just head back the way you came and tell them people at the bank to leave us alone; the Lord will pay our bill.”
EPIC WIN
I have GOT to know where this picture came from. It is just too epic.

Yes, Nuns with guns. I guess steel rulers didn’t work so they had to resort to a more extreme form of discipline.
funny how everyone behind a computer thinks they’re the number one theologists or the most informed political science major
I am a theologian, and a DnD player… And this was f***ing immense.
all your church are belong to us…
you just roxxord my soxxorz xD
Chaotic Good FTW
Ahh… I remember the last time we had to use the battle nuns… good times.
Seriously though, don’t give religious a reason to fight back, they can bite pretty effin hard.
