I went to a roller derby bout the other night, with the theme “Scar Wars”, and some of the local Star Wars fans were there in costume, including several Storm Troopers. I was sitting at the end of one row, when one of the Storm Troopers came and stood beside me, watching the action. I turned to him, waved my hand, and said “These are not the roller girls you are looking for.” He nodded and walked away.

For the couple of people who said they didn’t get the joke: It’s a reference to the first Star Wars movie, when the storm troopers were looking for the two droids (R2-D2 and C-3P0) who stole the plans to the Death Star. They nearly caught R2-D2 and C-3P0 at Mos Eisley space port, but Obi-Wan Kenobi did the “jedi mind trick” and convinced the storm troopers that “these are not the droids you’re looking for”. Those stolen plans eventually allowed the rebels to blow up the Death Star, and thus this storm trooper is feeling regret that he was so weak-minded as to fall for the jedi mind trick.
