exactly, hunting just to hang it on the wall is pointless unless you use nothing more advanced than a knife to do it. Sitting there in the distance with a rifle isn’t sport. If you’re hunting it to eat it then that’s ok because deer is delicious.

The only ones who hunt just to hang it on the wall are only the rich. And even they normally make sure that somebody makes use of the meat, most donate it to local food shelves. I don’t know about elsewhere, but just taking the trophy and letting the meat behind to spoil is against the law here in MN and has been for a very long time.
Pah, I have been hunting for almost 20 years now, and been out hunting about 50 times.

Well, his gun is pointed away from everybody, it’s pointed in the air, and his finger appears to be off of the trigger.

I was just about to say this. One gun is pointed towards the gun, one is up and away from everyone, finger isn’t on the trigger, breach appears to be out. This guy is following all hunting safety precautions.

HEY – I’m a redneck, and I’m proud of it! Not all hunters are rednecks, and not all rednecks are hunters. Perhaps y’all oughta search the term “redneck”. Brings up a might fine number of links, but you’ll have to really look to find those about the mine wars.
Gotta say it – city slickers don’t really know where the name “redneck” came from, but I do. All about the labor movements it is – ‘specially ’bout the Matewan Massacre. Are y’all aware of the sherif Sid Hatfield they had? Shame what happened to ‘im. All those Baldwin-Felts agents shot ‘im down.
That’s what sparked those whole lot of miners to unionize – and to identify the miners from the Baldwin-Felts agents, the miners wore red bandanas around their necks. That’s where “redneck” comes from.
