remember how iused to burn my knees while crawling on that carpet and driving my cars
I always loved that carpet, although mine had a different pattern.
mine had this exact same pattern. conspiracy?
No. . .
theres no proof of conspiracies… IF YOU CANT PROVE IT THEN IS NOT REAL!
Technicly speaking, you can not prove the existance of God or the theroy of biological evolution, because neither are meserable, observable, or repetable. So if you are the athiest I asume you are, I just blew your mind.
P.S.: Before you go all gramer nazi on me, what is the point of making fun of a dislexic?
change in DNA is measurable.
you can observe nature in many ways.
and your god is repetable… i can call for blessing or doom a million times and the outcome is still the same.. *sound of you mind blowing*
“burn my knees while crawling on that carpet”
Yup. That’s what she said.
i would take all my hotweel cars and my police cars and have the police chase them…they always got away of coarse
fun stuff, i did that too
. i am going to find one of thse some day just to have it
I don’t know where you live micah….but i know that IKEA sells them
lmfao! that makes so much sense! -.-
Thank god they loved me haha
Mine loved me too
. Enough to buy me 3!
damn that means i was unloved
i only had the plastic one
i had a carpet one and a plastic one – does that cancel the love out?
you got an entire bi state area.
[insert jingle here] Just one more and you’ll own the entire Tri-State Area!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [insert evil laughter here]
Plastic was the cheap imitation brand. They still loved you, but didn’t have tons of money!
http://5kidswdisabilities.wordpress.com
Oh way to spam your website, no one cares lady.
shut the hell up lady, they didnt cost that much, $15-20 at the most
There There IF it makes you feel any better i had 3
I never had a plastic OR carpet…
Awwwwww its alright the internet still loves you.
No we don’t! F**k you! F**k ALL of you!
Don’ worry I didn’t even HAVE matchbox cars let alone an carpet for them….. T_T
If I would have had either my younger brother would have found a way to wreck them.
I had the plastic one too. We can both be unloved together.
I had a plastic one, but it was two-sided: a cityscape on one side, and a countryside with farms and a forest on the other. The country one was just perfect for me to re-enact Dukes of Hazzard episodes with my die-cast General Lee.
made by the finest tailors in town!
I had one FIRST!
My mom loves me… xD
My mommy beats be…xD….:(
GTFO
mummy and daddy didn’t love meeeee wah hah hah waaaaahhhhhhh
so true
I had one. Best thing ever:>
I know, right? There are only a handful of things I remember from my childhood, but this carpet is one of them. Best entertainment source I ever had.
I never had one..but I remember making my own on the back of one of those big plastic reusable colouring mats that came with washable crayons.
So I guess my parents liked me…but just a little bit.
We were so broke when I was young the only thing we had to play with, we were born with.
Naaw ;D I remember that carpet! ;D I HATED IT! -.-
Ok really this was the only carpet i ever had until i was like 10 years old so i got tired of it -,-
YES!!! MY PARENTS LOVE ME!! Now if only they’d get me cars to go with it……
My parents hated me…I begged and begged for one, but they refused
Man, I had one looking exactly like that! I think I might cry of happiness. ;_;
Oh good lord, the nostalgia factor just hurt me right there.
WIN! thats all i can say
…y do all teh old 1′s keep getting reposted?
My parents didn’t love me. I also never had Nintendo or PlayStation. But at least the carpet city was there for me in school
mmm…
Communal love
ew playstation?
XBOX FTW
I had one exactly like that as well! My parents love me.
I spent days playing on that carpet. Awww, the good old times.
Yippie! That means my parents loved me…aw, well, I think I had two of them anyway.
Well my brother had one… and I ‘inherited’ it after the cat puked on it… so what does that mean?
Maybe the cat didn’t like it either.
I got one for my kids. They never ever used it. Total waste of money for me. Does that mean my kids don’t love me?
And my parents never bought me one. Excuse me, it’s time for my therapy appointment.
Don’t worry, no kid truly loves their parents until their common sense gene kicks in, which is different for different kids.
Usually that kicks in some time between 18 and 60, so don’t give up hope.
*sniff* good memory’s *sniff*
My first time playing Grand Theft Auto.
Win.
I second this win.
third
C-C-COMBO BREAKER!
C-C-COMBO RESTORED!
So thats why my mum never visits me………………………………….
Epic win, had one too ;D
Yes, I had one as well! SO many memories. Oh, my youth, where are you gone to? – probably the trash can with all the other toys
They did not make them when I was a kid. Whaaaaaaaaaa
Did these even exist in the late 70s early 80s?
I don’t think they did. We used to make our own, out on the gravel driveway. It was way better.
Yeah, cause I don’t remember ever seeing one as a kid.
My parents bought me Legos and Tinkertoys and my brothers gave me their old Hot Wheels.
MY PARENTS ARE DEAAAAAAAAAD
That’ll teach ‘em not to buy you car city rugs!
then why are you still living in your mother’s basement?
BURN!
Oh my god I remember those! I even had die cast metal planes for the airport too!
Yay! My parents loved me then:D I actually had both the carpet version, and the plastic version:) Plus, I used to make cities out of cereal boxes. Hah, I spoiled my Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars=P
Wow, this is nostalgic lol. I remember I doubled mine up by making my own on the over side.
*’other’, not ‘over’… what’s wrong with me today?? XD
I had two of them! That means they really loved me =D
I never had one of these. I made all of my roads for Hot Wheels with Lego’s.
the dominant thing I see on this mat is roadways & parking lots, followed by airport and bus stop and gas stations. There are a few government uses (police, hospital) sprinkled throughout but there are no public centres, economic areas (not even ‘strip malls’) but definitely not pedestrian-oriented areas, employment areas, or even residential for that matter; the mat reinforces soul-less (sub)urban fabric; a car-culture devoid of community or neighbourlyness. I never had one of these growing up, and I think my parents made a good call on that one.
……………….no
So the car carpet was a low-tech predecessor of urban-based racing video games–a cityscape that you can blast through at high speeds with no worries about splattering pedestrians all over your hood or windshield.
I had one…but I pretty much let my sister take over it. Didn’t care too much for the thing.
Wow, i had that exact one
I didn’t have the money when my kids were little (they’re all in their 20s now) so I made one out of a chunk of green denim and a bunch of fabric and trim scraps, and embroidered the road signs and stripes on the roads and such. Man, I haven’t even thought of that for years. I wonder if any of them still has it?
Wow. Now that’s a dedicated parent!
^ I agree. Parents with money just go out and buy one, which is the easy way of doing it. It takes an awesome parent to actually take the time to design one from scratch.
It’s been ages! and now I feel so old… I remember my parents gave me one, but they actually nailed it to the floor, so I couldn’t roll in it or anything… Dang I miss my old carpet
I have never seen a more true statement in my life
I had a massive one lol, I used 2 love playing on it. now I help my baby bro play on his smaller 1
I remember crying so hard when my mom threw mine away :’(
haha i remember these!
I had that exact one. XD I miss it now
but still XD
I had exactly this one.
wow.
seems like they made just one for the whole world.
*starts crying*
I didn’t have one. Could be the fact I didn’t want one, being far more into ponies and Barbie dolls, what with being female and all…
I had it
And when we replaced it for a new one (my bros destroyed it) it cutted of the house with most parking spaces. Stil have it araund here somewhere
My parents loved me, they offered to get me one, but I said I didn’t want one. Never was really interested in toy cars.
that thing was awesome. i wish they hadnt thrown it out
Nostalgic win!
OMG i had exactly the same as in the picture above
Didn’t have one, and I don’t even think they existed when I was a kid. Plus I’m a girl.
I did wreck a lot of Barbie cars by launching then down the cement porch steps (with the dolls inside, of course) though.
Yah, I never wanted one eather. Was so much funner to launch my hotwheels off the roof… you know, once my parents caved in and bought a GIRL some damned toy cars.
I couldn’t get my folks to quit getting me boy’s toys. I buried all my hotwheels in the front yard. By the time we moved several years later, my Dad still hadn’t managed to find them all with his metal detector!
I wish my parents would have bought me boy toys. I just wanted GI Joes, gun and cars. Instead it was Barbie and My Little Ponies
Omg, I had totally forgotten about those. Both me and my sister had one.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
My little brother had one of those! Lol.
OMG this brings back memories of 3yr old me scooting aroung on the floor driving my magic school bus toy everywhere on the carpet…*sniff*… my parents did love me.
I had one and over 100 cars for it and it was THE MOST AWESOME thing ever in my childhood
We just used chalk on tarmac and made our own ones up.
I still have mine… somewhere.
I’m 21 and still have my carpet in my college dorm room
My parents love me and I loved my car carpet!
I’ve never seen this on the market here, i guess our whole government doesnt love us.

Me to and its amazing that almost everyone had one
Ooh, I had that exact one! When I was little, I had a really small room, so it took up most of my room.
I’d spend hours driving m oy cars around it.

oh memory jogger, i hadt his exact style. i am ’94 born tasmanian (australian if you don’t know were tasmania is)
Ah … just for the one day, it feels good to be retroactively loved.
I think mine still survives somewhere, 25+ years later. Passed it on to some little cousin of mine.
…figures that he’d be more into steam trains. Oh well. Fingers crossed his dad gives it to a secondhand store to be loved (and the scene of many more horrific 30+ vehicle pile-ups) all over again rather than just tossing it away.
lol i had one of these i loved it
I remember that one of mine was from IKEA, and with my Hotwheels, Matchbox and Tomica cars, the afternoon fun was endless.
I HAD EXACT SAME CARPET! AWESOME ;D

I had the plastic ones and the folds would get on my nerves. =_=
omg! that’s the exact same one I had! ah, the memories…
I HAD ONE!
Seems to be that my parents loved me <3
I had one but then i rolled myself up in it and got stuck by a wall on my side and stayed there for two hours. No one was home and i had to pee really bad so i slept and i drooled and pissed myself. I was unloved by the carpet and it had a stain where i peed haha. >.>
…….. Interesting…. but wow.
Bawlin, yo. Tops any of my life stories.
I was loved!
HOLY CRAP! I had that exact same one! Brings back so many memories…mostly of my brother and me fighting over whose house would be whose. Better yet… I just found it! I still have mine! YESSS!

Wait… was this the ONLY car carpet city? Because I had one of these!
I’d play with these everywhere but at my house. they sold out
I had one.
I’m now pretty sure I’m a sociopath.
Parenting counts for a lot, doesn’t it.
Now a days kids need the Car Carpet City video game and iPhone app or their parents don’t love them.
Even I had them although I’m a girl and my parents rather wanted to see me playing with more girly things.
My childhood doctor’s office had one. Pandemic play set? After all, sneezing, dripping kids all played with the toys.
OMG thats the exact one that i had, that really brings back memories…
I never had one.
i had that exact one :’)
:’( never had one, tho I remember playing on it in kindergarden…
I still have mine. I have the strongest urge to grab it and play cars on it.

why da f*** does a city need two hospitals only 2 blocks apart
ctp.obvious it needs two hospitals only 2 blocks apart because of all the kids driving, monsters rampaging, and just all the messed up s*** that goes down man.

Why does the carpet town have 2 airports?
EVERYBODY had this EXACT carpet. well, i did. always the same town :’)
We couldn’t afford one but we loved the boys so we let them draw on the indoor outdoor carpet in the bedroom with chalk.
I had one!
So many memories.
Hey Hey, I am from Germany, I had the same thing. I played on it in childhood. I am know 23 years old. Really cool, men. .D
