It looks like a cross between HALO and CoD 6 or somethin’, but now I want to know too. It might just be an artsis though, but I hope not.

It is not Warhammer 40K (though somewhat similar). The closest troop in Warhammer 40K to this would be a Adeptus Astartes (Space Marine) and they look quite different (helmet, armor, shoulder pads, backpack, gun, ect). The tags list as: guns, tanks, Warhammer 40K, I think, future wars, dystopia (the creator was probably guessing that it was Warhammer 40K ie the “Warhammer 40K, I think,”. I think this guy is a Space Marine from the Warhammer 40k universe. Typical backpack and full body armor
to everyone who claims this is 40K….you so need to get glasses….or better computer screens

I would guess it´s a original piece made by some artist either on his/her accord or as a commission for someone, not impossible it´s a homage to something but 40K it aint. Neither the trooper, the tank or even the background bears any semblance to 40K
I don’t know why people keep thinking this is 40k, given how this guy looks NOTHING like a Space Marine and the tank looks far more modern than the intentionally anachronistic tanks used by the Imperial Guard (you see side guns on that thing? I sure don’t). If anything, that guy looks like some sort of uber-stormtrooper from the Guard rather than a Marine, and even that’s a long shot. And besides, Imperial cities are generally far more congested and cramped than this one. This is more reminiscent of a modern city than a hive-city, like Armageddon.

Still not a Storm Trooper, I’d say. For starters, no hellgun, which, if you’ll remember, is standard issue for Storm Troopers. Furthermore, there are no aquilas or purity seals or anything like that on his armor. And finally, assuming that you play 40k, I dare you to identify which STC design is responsible for that tank. It sure ain’t a Leman Russ, Salamander, Basilisk, or Chimera, boyo.
it cant be 40K there aint any chaos daemons demon insects, soulless robots,things trying to eat your face, and is nicer looking.
If anyone here has read the Horus Heresy (Warhammer 40K) they would have noticed that the paintings are done in the same style, as well as the fact that the artists are given liberties with designs.
I would say this is probably a Kasrkin (Imperial Guard army), or if from the Horus Heresy, a Storm Trooper upgrading to Space Marine.
there are liberties and then there is not even landing in the same ballpark, there is nothing with the above pic that remotely 40K, tank is far from any canon model, background is far from the dark Gothic setting and the armour has the utmost minimal resemblance to any armour I seen in the 40K universe. Trust me I could bet money on this ain´t 40K, heck even if there was proof this IS suppose to be 40K art I say it ain´t.
To all the people saying that this is WH:40k. Read more lore, you know very little. Truth be told, it more resembles Mobile Suit Gundam’s universe more than anything else.
