  20. Phoenix says:

They could have already solved this if they just used explosives to collapse the well. I suppose ecologic disaster and bankruptcy is a more attractive option though.

    • Dodom says:

Explosives tend to be devastating under water because water isn’t elastic like air and the shockwave travels much farther.
However I do think they wasted time trying to preserve their access to the oil. They would have had means to obstruct the well, maybe not as simple as dumping rocks on it, but still not rocket science.

  21. Yazner says:

Bp really did it this time…

  22. sean says:

i dont get y they dont just drop a match in the gulf thatl fix it

    • josh says:

do you really want half of the atlantic ocean on fire, pumping putrid smoke around the world?

      • sean says:

well itd be better than having the entire gulf ruined and its not half the atlantic its like 1/10 of it and its not as if we’re not doing that by riding in cars every day anyways

  23. Annette Lane says:

BP has dug a hole to HELL and the entire earth will suffer for it. The game is funny, the reality is NOT

  28. LuTELLO says:

As depressing as this disaster of Biblical Proportions is, I thought this was funny. I also had to laugh at Bill Maher talking about the underwater robot making the jackoff motion to the camera.

  29. alphamail says:

    It made my day

  30. josh says:

BP had nothing to do with it. It was a mechanical difficulty that could have happened to any company. My father works for BP and people are more than likely going to try to sue BP for something. This might cost him his job. If he loses his job, my family will have no source of income except for my part time job. You should think before leaving immature comments slamming a company over something you probably don’t understand.

    • Monkey In Pants says:

So it is our fault your dad’s company is causing a natural disaster?
Also, why are you defending BP? Yes this could have happened to any other company in that position, but BP refused to do the actions necessary to prevent things from getting worse. Sucks that your dad may lose his job, but any of us can lose a job at any time for any reason. Life is unpredictable that way.

  31. josh says:

I’m not condoning the fact that the oil spill is a good thing, I’m just saying that this doesn’t mean the company is evil or stupid.

  32. josh says:

Although a slim possibility of a job loss, I certainly hope it doesn’t happen.

  33. josh says:

There are just some things that happen in this world that you don’t have a lot of control over.

  34. josh says:

This is an update from BP America’s official facebook page and website. Alert: BP has been partnering with the Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research to help recover and clean impacted wildlife. Experts have been on the ground in affected areas since late April. Researching is productive.

  35. josh says:

It also gives a link to the bird rescue site, and gives a number to call if you see an injured animal.

  36. Alix says:

    Win! That’s awesome.

  37. AjC says:
