  5. Name is Irrelevent says:

Oh look its president of BP; whathisname…
Probably saying something along the lines of,”yeah so those boats over there are all drifting around trying to think of a solution while I just sit here on my yacht”

  6. Splinter says:

Reminds me of Winston Rothschild III from the Red Green Show.

“…we come in a truck and leave in a day…”

  7. Yeah says:

He’s clearly just looking for Kyle

  8. jamisings says:

“These are the skimmers we could be using if President Obama would just stop saying no!”

Seriously, Obama was offered the use of this skimmer that could clean up tons of the spilled oil and he said, “No, leave it where it is incase there’s a spill up there.”

So glad I voted for McCain. Too bad everyone else didn’t.

    • The Amazing Rando says:

Yes, naturally everything is Obama’s fault. There’s a site where conservatards sit around and whine about Obama. It’s called Pundit Kitchen.

      • teatime of a daft death says:

Jamisings is the black hole of fun in the Cheezburger Network. No post goes by without her taking the humour out of it.

      • Ryan Waxx says:

Wait, you’re right! Actions taken by his administration are like totally the “conservatards” responsibility, not his! Its not like he’s the boss of the agency that sent those skimmers packing!

        You’re a genius!

    • Truth says:

“So glad I voted for McCain. Too bad everyone else didn’t.”

Sucks that you live in a democratic republic, don’t it?

I hate having civil liberties such as the right to vote…

    • teatime of a daft death says:

Perhaps more people would have voted for him if he didn’t pick a moron as his VP. I know many people who voted for Obama mainly due to the wrong outdated policies of McCain, and the fact that he was so old and had an absolute dolt as the next in line.

      • AaronHorrocks says:

We reffer to those “outdated policies” as the United States Constitution, thanks.

        • teatime of a daft death says:

uhuh, so last presidency I’m assuming you were one of those who went around saying, ‘Even if you don’t agree with the government you should follow it, because not agreeing with the leader in charge is unamurican.’ Now look at you people, hypocrites.

          • Travis says:

In time, we will look back and see the Election of 2010 for what it really was:
            A popularity contest.
I don’t think anyone really even remembers what the issues were or if there was any difference in Obama’s and McCain’s platforms.

    • teatime of a daft death says:

      Africa isn’t a country?

    • jamisings is a bum says:

it’s too bad we have people like you voting for crappy presidents. i don’t want to live in communism, way to take the funny out of a good picture. douche.

    • Ryan Waxx says:

Idiocracy is what we have now. By the way, it’s been well over 6 months. By the way, have you noticed that McCain isn’t dead, captain oblivious?

  9. Sup, its me :D says:

    seen kyle?

  10. mojojo says:

Those…are boats. And in those boats are the “small people” that are going to clean up my HUGE FREAKIN’ MESS!

On a side note, have you seen Kyle? He might be on one of those boats. Seen Kyle? About so tall?

    • Bob says:

It’s not really his ‘huge freaking mess’ though. It was a team of Americans operating the rig, and yet if you take the time to look through the entire British press you’ll see that we are not partaking in any American-bashing. Kindly return the favour. Instead of attacking us Brits, your Government should try working with them to fix this problem. Obama has two options. Look like a muppet for doing nothing but ranting about us, or look sensible by providing full resources and then dealing with blame afterwards. And which option has your noble leader opted for? It really is a shame that McCain chose Palin as a running mate. Really screwed his chances

      • Sewmouse says:

Actually, it WAS the Brit’s fault – and Bush/Cheney’s fault. Bush/Cheney for removing the regulations and oversight that would have prevented BP, Transocean and Halliburton from cutting corners and the Brits (British Petroleum execs, not all the Brits. Most of the Brits are good and decent folks who would never dream of destroying the Gulf of Mexico).

As for President Obama doing something – what exactly would you have him do? Put on a wetsuit and snorkle and go down and personally put a cork in the pipe? The President has made all the resources we have available – and Tony Hayward and his evil minions have refused to avail themselves of them.

Had McCain won the election, he’d be partying with Tony “Heck of a Job there Haywardie”, and figuring ways to make the American people pay for BP and Transocean and Halliburton’s malfeasance.

        • CDThe says:

Most of the Brits I work with wouldn’t even know where the Gulf of Mexico is…

(The US doesn’t have a monopoly on dumb*sses. We got them too, we call em ‘chavs’)

          • Chris says:

England calls them Chavs. Scotland calls them Neds and Wales calls them upstanding citizens. There is no one universal word

      • Sybil says:

The problem is, that douchecanoe on the boat there that is the ‘face’ of BP in the news… well, we hate him. And that hate transfers to BP. Unfair, perhaps, but that’s the way it goes. BP needs to fire his @ss and get a new spokesdouche with perhaps an ounce of sensitivity and public perception may change.

      • mojojo says:

Please point out to me where I mentioned he was British. He’s the one sticking his foot in his mouth with ridiculous comments and actions, and being pushed aside by his own company for such comments and actions. I could care less where he’s from. The position of CEO, much like a country’s President, is where people are going to direct their ire, whether or not he might be PERSONALLY resonsible for all the shortcomings and shortcuts the people below him might have taken.

  11. haiz says:

    omg! i think i made this one! {rebe83}

  12. Kyly says:

    THIS, Isn’t funny!

  13. Tony Branston says:

    He actually has excellent eyesight.
Shame he’s actually pointing to some seagulls.

  14. Captain Obvious says:

If he said that, it would be the first honest thing to come out of that guys mouth…

  15. Jimbob says:

This is supposed to be funny? Seriously!?

  16. tastysalad says:

    captain obvious strikes again!

  17. MiakoSamuio says:

    I think that’s called a ‘butt’.

  18. lordofthegadflies says:

Incorrect. Those are “ships.” A “boat” is a waterborne craft that is carried by a ship.

    • The Hurocrat says:

Incorrect. There are yachts in the picture. There is at least one sailboat. There appears to be a tug boat, though it may simply be a low-built fishing boat. There are blue-water fishing boats. None of them is large enough to be considered to be a ‘ship.’

Though, were I to accept your definition, I am glad to know that my twelve-foot pirogue, which has never been carried by a ship and never will be, is no longer considered to be a ‘boat.’

      • lordofthegadflies says:

Correct. My amended definition is, a “boat” is a waterborne craft that can be carried by a ship.
However, incorrect. I see an oil-skimmer vessel in the picture. It LOOKS like a yacht to the casual observer, but those of us who actually work on seagoing ships know better. Also, there are no tugboats or deepwater fishing boats in this picture. All except the oil skimmer are oil rig service vessels – anchor handlers and supply vessels.

  19. frank says:

    O rly?

  20. lordofthegadflies says:

Also…having traveled the world for over 25 years in conjunction with my job and lived in several foreign countries, I can safely say that we’re all the same bunch of idiots regardless of what country we live in. No nation on Earth has a dearth of – or a monopoly on – stupidity. So please, let’s all lay off the trans-national insults.

  21. chelsey says:
