most furries must be “closeted” and prefer to not tell anyone, i do not consider myself one (a lot) but i do like the art style featuring anthro animals (animals wearing clothes and walking on two legs like humans)

I think the biggest problem is that People only know about and hear of the sexual side of furry fandom. If someone finds those sexual aspects strange they will reject it in negative ways. I’ve been a furry for a while now and almost anyone ive met thinks a furry is someone who is gay or someone who pikes to have sex with animals. It’s just based on biased first impressions.
