Agreed, being an American I do love my county and all its freedoms but it’s very disgusting every time I walk down the street and see a bunch of 300lbs whales. I also hate the fact that just ’cause I’m thin people assume I starve myself instead of seeing that I only eat home-cooked meals, I never cook with butter and most of my meats I cook with a steamer.

Not as true in Japan as in China. The problem exists in China because of rather draconian laws regarding population control. 1 child per family. And families want male sons to carry on the family name and honor. Thus you end up with a lot of girl babies abandoned, outright killed, or sent away for adoption, resulting in a MUCH higher male population than female.
