  5. Tank668 says:

The world lost a great mind because of people like this. He died way too young.

    • redwraithvienna says:

      I think she is sarcastic

    • Reki says:

      A) Turing didn’t make the computer. B) Who cares is people are gay? Its their life, not yours. If you don’t like it, then don’t talk to them. C) Too much death and destruction has happened because of religion.

I will play things her way. I don’t like religious people, so everyone who believes in God should be executed. How do you all like it now?

      * not directed at attached post

I do agree with Tank668, strongly.

      • Dan says:

He did, however, develop the Turing Machine, a theoretical device which played a significant role in the development of the computer, in terms of design philosophy.

        • naD says:

Charles Babbage made the first computer, and it didnt even use electricity, though I never truely finished it it still works. I think the first electric computer was the tabulating machine which was made by one of the founders of IBM and it was used to calculate the 1890 census.

          • Cameron Winter says:

In actual fact, Alan Turing didn’t invent the electronic computer. The very first electronic computer, called Colossus was designed and built by a man named Tommy Flowers, Turing just gets credit, because he was Flowers’ boss at Bletchley Park

            • Timothy Bogart says:

In actual actual fact, there are good arguments that everything prior to the Manchester computer were improved electronic calculators. Turing wins.

      • Henk the Killer, liscenced ginger says:

Hey, I just wanted to say that i like your comment about the mass murder of people who seek faith in a higher being :D

      • Random insanity says:

        A) your probably right good on ya. B) Thats the way it should be and C) All that death and destruction was in the name of religion because people just pushed it way to far. Apparently nowadays people equate religion with handing in their common sense as the trade off.

        • EvilDave says:

One must hand in one’s common sense to in gods or religions. This is why: god is an invisible, all-powerful, all-knowing being who is supposedly good but created evil. He allows evil to occur even when those he supposedly loves ask for help while having evil inflicted upon them. He allows death and destruction to occur both by nature and in his name. Despite being all-knowing, and all his creation being all-knowing, he was easily manipulated into torturing his most loving follower to prove a point to someone who should have already known it because god had already said said point was true.

Basically, one must believe in an all-knowing, all-powerful, ever-present, good, perfect, and benevolent being who loves all humanity as though they were his children who is spiteful, vengeful, murderous, easily deceived and manipulated, incompetent, and who kills his children to make a point and to “correct” their mistakes for which he is actually responsible.

        • Crumbs says:

Well, no offense but it kind of is. Believing in something that simply has no proof at all is not common sense.

      • squeehunter says:

Don’t act like atheists never killed anyone out of their own lack of beliefs. There’s that whole Soviet persecution of the Orthodox church. Also, THIS DOES NOT ACCOUNT FOR MAINSTREAM F***ING OPINION FOR RELIGIOUS PEOPLE

      • Creative Anarchy says:

No Turing didn’t make anything that we would currently define as a computer. However his contributions to computer sciences are widely believed to be the reason we have computers that are more than glorified adding machines. He was a visionary that saw social applications for calculating machines and his writing inspired the works of others who founded the industries that brough us personal computers and civilian access to the Internet.

  6. Jess says:

OK then why is she holding a gay pride flag?!

    • Sensei Le Roof says:

      That’s a SHE?!

    • redwraithvienna says:

      ever heard of sarcasm ?

    • Fehz says:

Everyone who’s extremely outspoken about something they hate, just hate it because that’s who they are and they don’t like it. Hate homosexuals and drugs? I bet you’re out hiring male prostitutes and smoking meth. Just hate homosexuals? I bet you’re trying to get butt secks in a bathroom stall. Hate foreigners? I bet you’ve got some non-pasty white people in your family tree.

      • meetoo says:

True and not. I hate pickled beets, and never eat them. It’s my new religion. But seriously – it does seem to me that people preach against what they secretly do. Hmm. Makes ya wonder.

      • PirateJohn says:

Well, let’s not compare hating homosexuals with hating drugs. Gaping chasm between the two. I find that most people who hate drugs vehemently aren’t smoking meth themselves, but probably lost a friend or family member who had done so.

  7. Zinc says:

you guys do know this is a sign with this thing called sarcasm on it. This was at a gay pride parade.

  8. Orion Fury says:

And what’s with the rainbow flag?

  9. curious says:

It’s people like these that scare the living hell out of me. It’s a shame they are allowed to breed.

    • David says:

Yeah, but how the hell would gays breed anyway? They’d have to be bi…

      • Reki says:

I don’t think that curious meant gays, he meant the violent anti-gays. Besides, both gay men and women are forced into marriages where they then keep the ‘gay gene’ going on and on. If homophobic people actually wanted to rid the world of them, then they would allow them to marry, then eventually, there will be no-one with the gene left.

I’m not anti-gay, I support marriage between people that love each other. And FYI, 90% of what people say is from the bible, isn’t

        • Rashkavar says:

And another 9% or so is an absurd take on what a reasonable person would decide might be intended. (for example, looking at the “he who is without sin cast the first stone” parable as “it is good and honorable to mercilessly slaughter whores, but only if you are yourself righteous.”)

        • Chuck says:

Nobody knows if Homosexuality is genetic, caused by environmental factors, or both. I have a theory that its an evolutionary mechanism that helps prevent overpopulation, without having people starve to death.

          • Cheese says:

Only problem is it doesn’t prevent overpopulation it just slows down population growth.

            • XD says:

Chuck said ‘helps prevent’. It’s the same deal as excersizing helping to prevent obesity. You could excersize ’till you drop, but it won’t help much if you don’t eat right. Same deal with overpopulation. You could remove half the population from the gene pool in one way or another, but it won’t make that much of a difference if the other half has an average birthrate of 3 or more.

          • Creative Anarchy says:

Nobody knows if eyesight is genetic, the cataract gene hasn’t been satisfactorally identified, but just like homosexuality there are physical features that are common to people who have good or bad eyesight and those features, just like the ones that determine sexual preferrence are commonly transferred from parent to child.

        • David says:

I think government should get out of marriage. Marriage is religious. Straight people should get civil unions from the government, as should gays or other people who want the advantages of marriage. Legal contracts should not have a basis in love/sex. They’re an agreement. I should be able to make that agreement with anyone I want, wether or not I want to f*** them.

          • Epictrollisepic says:

Its the government that’s messed up. Religion is pure (some..) until man comes along and rewrites it. S**t goes down. Its like 1984 all over again lol..

        • Creative Anarchy says:

Homosexuals don’t engage sex with the opposite gender. It is their sole defining characteristic. Artificial insemination has been absent for most of the history of homosexuality but somehow they continue to exist. It seems likely that homosexuality is a trait that can be inheireted from someone that isn’t homosexual.

      • XD says:

In-vitro fertilisation, artificial insemination, surrogate mother… Those are just the ones off the top of my head, there may be more…

  10. Tyggs says:

It looks to me like she’s mocking protesters with that sign, to be honest.

  11. Greg says:

Uh people… this is a PRO-gay rights person at a rally. The sign is meant sarcastically; there is a website also. They’re trying to show how important gay people are to society.

  12. Knut says:

    Could be a diabolical lesbian.

  13. lane says:

…does she know that the sign was made using a computer?

  14. christian says:

or adem west in disgise :)

  15. ashdog says:

Hope she didn’t get that sign printed using computers…

  16. Derp says:

    trollface.jpg

  17. Nash says:

    SARCASM
You people do not grasp the concept.

  18. JD says:

Yeah, it looks like sarcasm. Besides, it looks like the sign was designed and printed using a computer. Certainly not a sharpie and crayon job that some of the tea party protesters did.

  19. Cjc says:

    HAHA!!
She’s holding a gay pride flag and a sign that was printed on a computer.

  20. arkher says:

Looks a little like Alan Rickman to me…

  21. Æon says:

the sign may be sarcasm but there are actually people like this in the world , and thats a cause for concern.

  22. Soe says:

looks like the work of Westboro.

  23. Lejon says:

My computer is definitely gay. Thats the only explanation for all the lesbian p0rn on my disk…

  24. gryphon says:

Wow. It scares me how many people take this at face value, with no clue about sarcasm.

    Fox news, much? ;p

  25. POLar bear says:

it was not Turing who break the enigma code. OK, maybe in Hollywood.

  26. Archibald Ironfist says:

If it’s not sarcasm, it could only be a product of the Westboro Baptist Church.

  27. The Amazing Shea says:

Sarcasm is the highest form of entertainment.

  28. johnfx says:

Computers are a homo’s devil machine?

Just in case I am going to start saying my computer “crashed” and stop saying “My computer went down on me.”

  29. zarkosy says:

he made that sign using a printing press.

  30. mindmelda says:

I love the smell of a poorly constructed and baseless, fear mongering conspiracy theory in the morning.

  31. Airey says:

I haven’t read through all the comments, so I don’t know if it’s been pointed out, but it looks like that sign (plus all the ones int he background) were made on a computer! Haha, fail. :I

  32. FrightRat says:

Okay, my computer is gay. But how do I tell if it’s male or female ?
(If it’s female, that would explain the overheating. ;P)

  33. BVI says:

“Ma’am I am going to have to confiscate this sign of yours as it is computer generated.”

  34. CyberSkull says:

So says the lady with the pride flag?

  35. Robin Gurl says:

I’m confused. o_O …lol. Is she for it or against it? Or did she pick up the wrong flag or wrong sign. I’m so for gay rights but …if your not your not. :) LOL.

I like her yellow gloves….o.O and why is the Computer a homosexual devil machine? O_O…haha.

  36. Kissy Monster says:

    True… True…

  37. Hunter says:

OMG SHE IS SO RIGHT!!! So what if he won World War II, saving millions more lives, I mean, he was gay, so all those lives really don’t matter. I mean, honestly, come the f*** on lady. You might as well be holding another sign saying “I hate jews!” F*** her

    • [facepalm] says:

It appears that this photo is actually a parody of anti-gay rights activists, nonetheless, there are people that rediculously homophobic.

    • Creative Anarchy says:

I’m actually surprised it took this long for this thread to go Hitler given how schizo it’s been. But sarcastically she is saying “I hate jews” she’s impoersonating a Christian fundamentalist.

  38. Me says:

It’s not the religion thats bad, its the churches that warp and brainwash people. Christianity’s bible has a lot of great moral messages, but people have turned what was once, a good message about loving everybody into “hate every one who isnt Christian, and gay people are a abomination” message. Oh, and they try and take me weed. That’s not okay.

    • Toah14 says:

glad my church isn’t like that. it’s a nice church, with a pastor capable of acting like an ordinary person(minus the cursing, drinking, drugs ect,) Oh, and he doesn’t just start preaching to you in the middle of walmart because your buying beer (no, i don’t drink) so yeah my church is FTW

    • Crumbs says:

There are also a lot of bad messages as well. What I remember from church is that God has a baby-killing fetish.

  39. Aza says:

Barring the sarcastic/serious argument I’m going to point out that this is another of my least favorite types of demotes…the demote just restates the text in the image. Come up with something on your own or don’t waste our time with your lazy douche-baggerey.

  40. Dan says:

I have to admit, when I first saw the picture, I leaned towards someone actually being that stupid. Then I noticed the flag, and the satire became clear.

  41. Meh123 says:

this pic had 69 comments on it before I posted… hehe :3

  42. The Grim Reaper says:

Just what we need. A Homophobe who doesn’t know what a Fail is.

  43. They want to live in the stone age. That sign shoud have been scratches on a rock.

  44. Also Alan Turing, changed the world and is a true American Hero.

    • PseudoAnonymousCoward says:

      Mmmmm…

      An *American* hero?

Turing was British, last time I checked. lol

(OK, a hero to Americans, perhaps)

  45. Eric says:

It’s like an IQ test. Everyone who didn’t see that it’s sarcasm, failed.

It’s not even subtle (“who cares if he won WWII…”)

  46. Jax says:

To the lady in the picture: Thank you for enlightening me. Before now, I never knew the guy who invented the computer was called Alan Turing. I had always wondered.

Thank you so much for the information. Now go f*** yourself.

  47. Donderwolk says:

Can’t begin to describe the stupidity…

    http://cheezburger.com/Donderwolk/lolz/View/3756710400

  48. Peter Voth says:

Am I the only person on the Internet who understands the concept of irony?! Obviously the sign is sarcastic, and I’m fairly certain that woman is a lesbian. Sheesh!

  49. Epictrollisepic says:

These people really piss me off. gay. GAY GAY GAY GAY. *giggles*

  50. Random says:

2/3 of the comments here are EPIC FAIL.
    Advice to people:
    - Learn what sarcasm is.
    - Learn to watch a picture and think about what you’re actually seeing: see the rainbow flag? What do you think it means?
    - Read other comments before posting yours, that could help prevent you from exposing your ignorance to the world (not that anyone seems to care, anyway).

People that rant in a knee-jerk reaction about the evil of anti-gay people without even realizing that it’s a pro-gay protester just demonstrate that they’re not better than those they criticize, judging someone on the first glance.

  51. hit says:

Yeah, right, why should we even care that anybody have won WW II… This woman is stupid…

  52. The Albino Primid says:

    Wait, a homo’s DEVIL MACHINE?

Does that mean that when we turn our computers off, we get an effeminate Giygas? o_o

  53. Jo Denny says:

Um lets not but say we did?

    Lou

  54. jmite says:

guys. seriously? she’s quite obviously a gay-rights protester. her sign is supposed to be ironic, because it’s pointing out that a gay man ended world war two.
Also, where did people get the idea that WWII was a religious war? Hitler (whose invasions sparked the war) hugely subscribed to the philosophy if Niesche (spelling?) who was a Nihilst and and Athiest.

Ooh, just saw above. THANK YOU MATT for pointing out the sarcasm. Don’t know why noone else picked up on that…
Oi. people here can be dumb…

    • carrieheffernan says:

No, she is quite obviously GAY. Hence the RAINBOW FLAG. Quit being ass. Also, thanking someone for pointing out the sarcasm that flew over your head is hysterical.

  55. lololol says:

What idiots. It was clearly satire. She is holding a f***ing rainbow flag

  56. cabbitking says:

I am totally against picket signs!!!

…I just don’t know how to show it.

  57. Hitotsu says:

To all you people thinking she actually means what the sign says, you guys need to learn sarcasm. She’s using it to show how ridiculous anti gay bigots are. Also gay pride flag.

  58. [facepalm] says:

    Fanatics, the perfect bullet shields!

  59. Agata says:

Polish mathematics solved Enigma…it’s the stupid Britons who told everyone THEY didi it. -.-

  60. I'm a PC says:

I think she’s referencing Apple Computers.

  61. anon says:

i hope the lady realizes that absolutely everything these days is made with a computer (unless it was made in a sweatshop or homemade) and i find it hialrious that she did that using a computer

  62. pazuzu says:

With all due respect to Turing’s contribution to the workings of the modern computer – he didn’t invented it, he invented just somevital algorithms used by computers.

And as far as Enigma is concerned, Brits keep forgeting about first code-breakers, a trio of three brilliant polish matematicians, Rajewski, Zygalski, Rozycki.
It was their work which established a breakthrough in breaking enigma, allowing deciphering german notes already in 1932.

Germans modified the machine with time, but it was work of those three polish matematicians, that paved the way for Turing and other crypthographers working for allied forces.

  63. The Neverending Twilight says:

What I don’t get is, if she’s supposed to be protesting homosexuality, then why in the hell is she holding a gay pride flag?

  64. Anonymous says:

    FIRST

  65. Blackthorne says:

Well, he’s got a point. When he’s right, he’s right.

  66. Xear says:

It could of been a protester, protesting the protests of the west brough church, who use the internet and computers a lot. Counter protesting those religous nuts with this kind of thing works :)

  67. F***AmericanSmugness says:

Alan Turing didn’t invent the computer, the german Konrad Zuse did.
Why do americans think they invented everything?

    • Creative Anarchy says:

It’s hard to see you little foreigners with our gigantic penises in the way. Zuse’s difference engine was based on the work of dozens of other machines the predated his, including enigma. Zuse’s machine is recognized as the first computer historically because of the works of Turing who is regarded, by the planet, as the father of computer science.

  68. Tammy says:

You guys are idiots if you cannot see the Flag in her hand!!!! she is being sarcastic people…come on ….

  69. narf says:

    Idk if someone else noticed

but not only did Turing not invent the computer (he did invent the Turing machine, though), also the Enigma code was cracked by Polish mathematicians Marian Rejewski, Jerzy Różycki and Henryk Zygalski.

There has to be a better way to advocate for gay rights than a really stupid sign.

  70. Bella says:

1)<—- for most of you doing this, tl;dr

    2) she looks like a dike, enough said

  71. The Vault Overseer says:

I’ve never heard such a convincing argument for the Homo’s Devil Machine before…

  72. Brian says:

Why is that only really stupid people get this kind of publicity?

  73. Even says:

Ironic that she’s holding a rainbow flag. But I agree; who cares that it won us /World War II/?!

  74. Dott says:

And yet, this image was made with a computer.
    Oh, the irony.

  75. Ally says:

    Computer
    It also made the sign.

  76. Johnny says:

Seems a bit harsh still classic though rofl

  77. raelinn says:

So… is this woman pissed about computers, Alan Turing inventing computers/cracking a german code, or the fact that “homo’s” have the right to use a computer…. The whole “homo” flag is throwin me here…. some people

  78. Nate says:

How about we destroy the people protesting about computers, or at least their social lives.
