From the thumb, it looked like a car crash, which is also a good reason not to drive fast, but when I finally discovered that tank… Now there’s one hell of a method of speed limit enforcing!

This is in the far northern part of Norway. In the south we have 12 to 20 degrees Celcius at the moment. In a few months there might be up to 30 degrees in the north also, so I can assure you that green is the most used camo in Norway

Actually, thats a swedish CV90, and the photo is from “Operation Snowflake” 2008! They are up north in sweden for a 10 day exercise! But the text was funny anyways! >_<

This is no CV90.
It’s a Leopard 2 A4NO.
The location is somewhere in northern Norway during the exercise Cold Response in 2009.
The swedes also has a version of this tank called Strv 121, but the tank in the picture is from Norway.
It’s a Swedish CV90, look it up on google.
Because it’s Swedish it dosen’t mean that Norwegian army can’t buy it…
It is not a CV90. The gunner optics of the CV90 is much higher up on the turret than the gun, on the pic you can see it’s almost leveled with the gun. And the head lights are sticking out here, while they are more integrated in the hull on the CV90. Norway has modified CV90s, bought from sweden in the late 90′s. I was a CV90-gunner when i was in the army 10 years ago, so i think i would recognize one…

In most parts of Norway, the speed limit is self-enforcing. If you speed, the cops either fish you out of the water, or scrape you off of the granite.

What is true is that the penalty for speeding in norway is really high. While police dont have time to investigate your grandmother being brutally assulted, they sure have time for speeding cars.

The tank in the picture is tank 133 or 134 (Leo2A4NO) from 3rd platoon, 1st Tank Squadron (yes, squadron, not company), Telemark Battalion. The picture is taken just soutwest of Olsborg, Troms, during the NATO exercise in 2009.
I know because I was the platoon leader of the 2nd tank platoon in that very same squadron during that exercise. And because I used that picture later that year when giving camouflage lessons to my soldiers. As an example of how NOT to camouflage a tank during winter.

actually, the rogue road patrol tanks aren’t the biggest problem, despise the fact they terminally f**k up the infra structure and the law\corruption ratio. whats worst is the 2006 breed of 88mm flak utilizing small game hunters. we have almost no wood left due to shrapnel!!!
