“A part” — why just be two words when you can be one?

  2. moshez says:

Down the river, not across the street, silly Emo!

  3. Sturm.Fee says:

And wasn’t it “Don’t walk across the road, walk down the road!”?

    • Skyfire says:

I though it was “Don’t cross the street, go down the road”, but I’m not 100% sure.

      • I'dRatherFeelPainThanNothingAtAll says:

no it’s not. if you cut “down the road” there’s a main blood vain and you could bleed to death if you cut too deep. btw, its “across the street, not down the alley.”

        • Kate323 says:

Which is why for suicide it’s “down the road” and for “attention it’s across the street”, as just about everyone else here has been saying

      • Smile_XD says:

no it’s not. if you cut “down the road” there’s a main blood vain and you could bleed to death if you cut too deep. btw, its “across the street, not down the alley.”

    • ben says:

YES, thank you! if you’re going to do the world a favor and rid yourself of it, then at least have the decency to do it right! no more of this cry-for-help crap! true emo’s do it vertically

  4. Ivan The Sock Monkey says:

Pft. Every GOOD emo knows you slash vertically, not horizontally.

  5. Anonymous says:

It was “down the road, not across, kids!”

  6. Matt says:

Dont forget to rotate the box 90 degrees before you cut

  7. Dan says:

Stupid Emokid, you make your cuts along the arm, not across the wrist. Across the wrist just means you want attention.

    • truthiness says:

      Emo’s do just want attention.

      • No says:

That’s rude and unfair. No person who labels themself like that is serious. However, people who DO cut themself usually don’t want attention. They do it to numb their own pain.

        • Yes says:

Anyone whose emo has issues anyway. They all secretly need help and want attention. Anyone who says they’re emo and don’t cut themselves are “Scene” not “Emo”. Numbing you pain means you have issues because you can’t vent like normal people and don’t have the guts to end it.

          • steve dore says:

“whose emo”? Why, that emo belongs to the guy cutting his wrist. And anyone who’s emo has issues.

          • mstrauss says:

Since when did Emo stop being about music and become about self harm? Hell, I remember when the term Emo first got thrown around, it’s changed alot.

Emo is simply another label for a certain youth counter culture. The fashion changes, the music changes but at the heart it’s the same as the 90s goth and nu-metallers (teen version), the 80s darkwavers and many many others before that.

            • Klara says:

Since it became a subculture and not just a music genre? If you think of a gothic you don’t think of someone wearing blue jeans and a pink sweater listening to gothic music either.

              • Yes says:

Emo’s pretty much, by an average persons standard nowaday, is someone who is into “Emo” music, dresses in a watered down, mixed version of Punk and Gothic, or as mstrauss said, 90s goth and nu-metallers, and generally cuts themselves. Refering to some one who is Emo means they cut themselves, dresses the part, listens to the music.

Someone who doesn’t cut themselves are labeled “Scene”.

          • d0n7 83 3m0 says:

you’re talking about suicide like its macho.its not. its as macho as hiding in a cardboard box. (no offense snake)

        • Klara says:

I never cut myself so I can’t tell, but I’m sure lots of them do it for attention, just not all. Maybe not the kind of attention you’re thinking of. Lots of people start cutting at a bad point in their relationship to get attention from the partner.

          • Random101x says:

People who cut for attention are just retards. According to my friends, me and my best friend are “Emo” even though we have never cut ourselves, we just listen to the music. thats what emo is. cutters are cutters, not emo.

        • Zak says:

          Thank you, somebody who understands.

        • Lotte says:

          agreed…

      • M says:

Oh shut up, no one cares.

  8. Haley says:

Who is this person who keeps saying “apart” in the wrong context???

  9. Oranje says:

Yup, cut that way if you’re feeling like crap and want help. (Don’t) do it the other way for the real deal. And this was a hell of a lot harder to type than I thought it would be. Time for more therapy…

    • Loki says:

It’s incredibly difficult to kill yourself via slashing the wrists… it’s usually only done that way to make a statement, for it to be dramatic and bloody, and for attention from those two things, whether you finish the job or not.

The bulk of successful suicides are from eating a gun, etc. Instant things that you can’t change your mind on later.

If you fail, then either someone walked in at the wrong time, you planned for them to walk in halfway through, or you really didn’t want to do it anyway… or didn’t do your research.

I’m not pro suicide, just stating the facts.

      • Anne says:

        Are you f**king kidding me?
It’s not always for attention, it rarely is. People do it because it’s words they can no longer say. It is repressed anger seeping out. They can’t physically harm others so they harm themselves.
They can’t escape, no one wants to hear what they have to say, they run out of options and don’t know what else to do.

So at least state the correct facts, if you’re going to state any.

        • Smile_XD says:

THANK YOU! i defiantly agree with you Anne. and btw, to all you ignorant, judging people– most people who cut, cover it up. they hide it. and don’t tell anyone. not for attention.

          • Annie says:

People who do it for attention give the others a bad rep: that’s how it always is.
So, people, quit going to extremes to argue: it always depends. ALWAYS.

            • mavisbeecon says:

People who do it for attention give others a bad rep…
If you are cutting yourself you shouldn’t have a good rep, no one will say ‘hey that guy is credible’ because he cuts himself and covers it up.

    • bah says:

Where are you from? I’m wondering because of your name.

  10. hamstap85 says:

“socially outcast”? excuse me? i would like to kill you now sir

  11. The Rudder says:

so no more /wrist it would be ctrl+x wrist now?

  12. Anon says:

Remember your mantra! Down, not across…Down, not across…

  13. Bad Company says:

You all got it wrong; it is not across the wrist, not along the arm, it is across the jugular.

  14. DebianUser001 says:

    is that…. THE GIMP?!

  15. erm... says:

As hilarious as it may be to poke fun at REAL mental health issues, that most people feel is either a “cry for attention” or “just get over it, god, I am happy why aren’t you????”, I would like to point out that the good majority of Emo kids DO NOT in fact self injure, and the percentage that do, will either do it because they do suffer from ACTUAL depression, OR because they think it is cool. Of course, self injury is not cool or trendy or fun. It is, in fact, the opposite because too many people call other people with real and debilitating mental health problems, EMO!

  16. Igetstabby says:

    That’s not how you cut!
If you’re serious, cut diagonally across the whole arm!
You wussies with your cries for attention!
Or cut an artery like in that movie Cellular, that you can rent, watch the whole movie before you end it though, it’s kind of enjoyable. And Chris Evans is a cool guy Not that he’d ever date someone as miserable as you!

    • Renee says:

And to you too…for many people that cut, it isnt a cry for attention at all…in fact, for many cutters, people dont even know about it. It is simply a way to escape pain.

    • Xavi says:

Most cutting is not an attempt as suicide, so how is doing it in a non-fatal way “doing it wrong”?

Plenty of cutting isn’t done for attention either. It’s often done as a distraction from other kinds of pain. Even if it is done for attention, how the hell does that affect you? As long as people aren’t actually spilling their blood where you’ll have to touch it, whats the problem? It’s not your responsibility to fix their problems, but it kind of is your responsibility not to try and make them worse. Leave people alone for f**k’s sake.

      • Casa says:

Real cutters hide what they are doing to keep people from finding out and trying to take that option away from them. They feel like they need that release and will do anything to keep it.

If you want to cut, if you need to cut fine. Once you start advertising it you just become a pathetic little drama queen who’s wasting peoples time.

Slashing a wrist is just asking for attention. “Oh look, I’m so sad and I want to die. Poor poor little me.”

So yah, there is a wrong way to cut and a it also happens to be the wrong way to kill yourself. Pick one, you can’t have both.

        • MIA says:

isnt emo short for emotional? no wonder they get a bad wrap. how many emos does it take to screw in a lightbulb? none thay can cry in the dark. just like bi-sexual girls, these kids see attention given to these people and they emmulate. sad they cant get the same attention for getting good grades and making some tign of themselves

  17. MantaiXp says:

    that’s a win

  18. Nick says:

NO NO NO!!!! Everyone knows that you cut vertically along the veins. Not across. Emos can’t even do it right.

  19. Grammar Nazi says:

Why yes, I am judging your lack grammar skills.

  20. Winchester says:

  22. Sunny says:

  23. lolicaust says:

    Where’s the love

  24. Epictrollisepic says:

    Penis.

  25. El says:

I got a “Tickle-me Emo” doll for Christmas!

  26. Pom Rania says:

I’m going to hell for finding this funny, I just know it.

  27. Anonymous says:

Double points if they put a layer of red behind the photo layer.

  28. ElfMusic says:

You’re all assuming (wrongly) that this wrist belongs to the cursor-operator who is cutting it. Now that you realize it is not pathetic self-mutilation, but rather good ol’, sadistic cutting of random wrists (by computer nonetheless), let’s label this with the right music genre.

    Long live technopolka!

  29. tehlolocaust says:

Don’t be silly emo kid. If you go in that direction, it won’t kill you. You will, however, get another chance to cry for attention…silver lining I suppose.

  30. Not Emo says:

I used to cut and I find this hilarious.

But really…why am I even surprised that there are @ssholes on here…?
    1. People who cut usually aren’t suicidal and are in fact trying to get better and trying to distract from their depression. Cutting actually feels good because of a little thing called endorphins that can get quite addictive. (Bet you didn’t know that! ‘Course you didn’t, because I know the majority of you would rather be ignorant for the rest of your lives instead of help, you’d rather make people miserable. No comment to you if you really would rather see people miserable you unfunny sadistic fug-hole.)
    2. I friggin’ hate emo kids. They’re attention-whores who say they’ll cut just for attention and give people with depression or people who cut a bad rep.
    3. Personal reply to people who hate “cutters”. One of your friends or even a family member may cut and you may never, I repeat NEVER know. And it can and IS done in places other than the wrist. (eg. Leg, stomach, chest, shoulder etc…)

Now that that’s out of the way…I lol’d.
(Now watch as I get a few replies telling me to shut up lol even though I’ve already said what I’ve said, don’t waste your time. ;P)

  31. Name (required) says:

Silly noob, ur doin it rong!

  38. Bree says:

  39. Natsumi says:

Seriously….why not just press delete and get it over with quickly?

  40. RhapSody says:

i really wonder what other commands would do!

  41. Layla says:

wow. i dont label myself as emo but i do cut. i HATE being called emo cuz cutting does not define emo. why do ppl have so much against ppl who cut anyway? we r ppl too not jus someattention whores as u so ‘kindly’ define it. but if u ask my opion u cnt judge until uvebeen through it. i cut for many reasons but attentions not one of them. if it was i wuld go around showing everyone i dontthough. i only show ppl cus they ask to see. but seriously stop hattin. im not emo i have bpd look it up its hard to deal with.

  42. Not tellin u says:

You see, he wants to cut so that he can paste it, and therefore have infinite wrists. He isn’t actually emo!

  43. Storme says:

Really? “All Emos are attention whores”? And a friggin debate about which direction to cut? *sigh*
Are we really all that shallow that we have to make fun of others in order to feel fulfilled?
