It was a drug running boat that went between England and Europe through the Channel. It’s not said on this post, but the picture has shown up before on other sites with the full story. Snopes is the best one to look at for it…

Ha! how pathetic! This pales in comparison to my Zodiac with NINE(9) outboard motors! Some say i was mad! some said that a Zodiac was too small to accommodate that many outboards, but i showed them!

probably Colombia, actually, because its a drug-running boat. they add a ton of motors to try to outrun the coast guard. the coast guard calls them “go-fasts.”

It was built by an English company who were selling them as low radar signature very high speed water craft.
Why would you want that? the 42 foot fountain with quad 350s does over 80? artical says the boat pictured runs 60-70 mph. and that looks like a drug smuggling boat

Its called a tugboat. You need that many motors to pull a 500,000 ton freighter from the dock to the open channel where it can use its own engines.
Try reading the links above before you write dummy. It was used for drug running across the English channel. And that is way too small for it to be a tug boat that moves 500k tons. I worked at a naval base for 4 years and the tugs that moved the frigates were a lot bigger then that and the frigates have a max weight of 5,000 tons. And it takes several full size tugs to move a 100,000 ton aircraft carrier.
