While a little 47mm AT gun probably wouldn’t have done much to a AT-ST, I bet the main gun on a KV-85 or better yet the 88mm long gun on a Panther could have knocked it flat, even if it couldn’t penetrate whatever exotic metal it is supposedly made of.
Fighting vehicles need to be low to the ground, not up on stilts. That’s all I’m saying.

AT-gun in that picture is a Soviet m1937 45mm gun and the Panther didn’t have a 88mm gun. It had a 75mm gun.
