IT’S NOT THE GUILLOTINE
It’s the size of the hole Flash is worried about.
Ouch…
Well, running wasn’t the only place he was quick… I guess they got tired of that.
Why is the Flash in 17th century England?
I would think that’s France…
French people doesn’t love speed
Well, when your are fast in the bedroom….(there has to be a razon for the happy lady presenting the guillotine)
Wait…
/pulls up comfortable chair
/takes out pad and pen
/sits, crosses legs
Now tell me more about this past life.
Fail.
It was a response to the Lord Muck comment below. /sad face
No, it’s England, I can tell from the Soldier’s armour and from having lived in 17th century England in my time.
it’s the Flemmish city Ghent. It’s in Belgium.
I live there, it’s a very medieval looking town, in the background is the bell-fort and the saint-nicholas church

its not gent, there is a clock in the right tower, doesn’t match with the picture
Er, yes, it does. The clock is in gold.
blablabla… it’s not ghent… blablabla it’s england… blablabla it’s france
FAIL

epic buffalo gantoise win!
now to the real question: whats the context and who places an american super hero in my home town where we spit on people waring their untherwear above their clothes
English never used the guillotine
Actually the English first used the guillotine (or at least a device like it) in Halifax in 1286. A long time before Dr Guillotin in Paris decided to use it to execute Royals in 1789…
Actually the first recorded use of a guillotine in England was in Halifax in 1286, long before Dr Guillotin of Paris decided to use one to execute royals. Also the Armour is distinctively 17th century, rather than 18th century, in fact I’m tempted to say they’re Ironsides…
They never executed super heroes neither. Or dismembered them. But judging by the buildings, this looks English enough.
They made a special exception for the obscenity charge.
England does not want to see your junk.
They do not work for the TSA.
I would have pegged that as half of the Notre Dame in the background.
That’s Big Ben on the other side. Big Ben is only 151 years old.
And Big Ben looks nothing like that whatsoever.
lol, it’s not the big ben or the Notre Dame
it’s Ghents beloved gothic cathedral “Sint-Niklaaskerk”
Best picture I found in comparison:
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_WgV8eU8jIoM/SzYmvqTERNI/AAAAAAAAAbo/PfZItB16rYU/s320/Gent+Sint-Niklaaskerk02.JPG
(though the perspective in this picture seems to be a bit off)
the other chruch is, like said before, our Belfort
ya’ll should come to ghent btw, epic city!! Small and cosy, lots of artists and beautifull beyond words
It’s definitely not England.
Heh, “dismembered”.
First recorded use of a guillotine device in England was in Halifax in 1286.
The soldiers are in the armor of Round-heads, from the English Civil War.
Ha ha! leave it to a re-enactor to notice something like that! Kudos!
What are you guys seeing? I see Russian soldiers! Or maybe Italian, or possibly even Israeli 17th century soldiers…
The guillotine was never used in England. I think it was used in the XVIIth century in Scotland…
Never used in England? Kinda difficult to make that seem logical, seeing as it was invented in Halifax, Yorkshire. Although it was refined by the French, the English invented it and used it to execute at least 53 people between 1286 and 1650.
But you’re right about the Scottish having a similar device.
He went so fast he hit some kind of timehole? shut up and eat your peas
arround the French revolution i ould think.
French People have a serious problem.
That made me cringe.
that hole is too small for his head… it must be for something down there
his finger?
thank you captain obvious
Probably for the OTHER head…
He probably tried to do a quicky with the woman on the right.
During the french revolution, the guilotine was known as “The national razor” due to the constant executions during that time period. it’s definitly france, but im not sure why the flash is there
I have a better question. Why is Vanna White there dressed as Marie Antoinette?
Have you SEEN some of the things she wears on that show? What IS she thinking?! http://www.sfgate.com/blogs/images/sfgate/hawaii/2008/11/07/Orangewheel250x404.jpg
She is thinking “I get paid big bucks for this.”
Continuity error; Marie Antionnette got her head chopped off by one of these things, she wasn’t one of the slavering savages who was in charge of the damn things.
Unfortunately, that’s for the neck, not the head. The top of the hole lifts up to let the head through.
flash’s neck, it is not that thin.
perhapse the hole is for… another connector.
It never said anything about a head. noobula said it; it’s for…erm…Flash’s manliness.
I have heard of pencil-necked….but I think you may be taking it a bit to far. Oh, if only there was another piece of anatomy that would fit that hole.
Gloopy, the point is that the whole looks way too small to fit someone’s neck.
Rule 34?
Spot on!
Fair is fair. There’s plenty out there (drawn and not real) where women are victims in similar scenarios. May as well let them have their fun too.
Roundheads as guards? Billie Piper dressed as queen Elizabeth I? Guillotine? Either a history fail or it’s an episode of Doctor Who (which is essentially the same thing).
Why has no one questioned why this picture even exists yet? Where the f**k did this even come from?
haHA!! Who cares where it is, it’s hilarious!
must be friends of steve jobs
Is this Sweden and Flash is accused of rape?
Explanation:
Flash hates European medieval food therefore he ended up hungry and unable to run away from those guards, who on the other hand serve a cleavage-exposed queen who hates the colour red..
They tried to warn him that converting to Judaism could be painful.
i think flash is being circumcised
Yup, that’s Belgium alright.
Uhm, people, could we stop bickering about where and when that is supposed to be and whether it’s historically correct and how the Flash got into the past* and start worrying about a comic where the Flash is going to have his manhood cut off in public while some fool is blowing a flute?
Was this really put into a comic they sell to kids or is this fake somehow? I sure hope it’s a fake. Why won’t anyone think of the children?
And that guy “blowing” a “flute”? Innuendo, anyone
*He’s fast. He probably drank one espresso too many and ran faster than the speed of light, bumping head-first into that lady’s cleavage. She saw him, in a weird, skin-tight dress, head between her breasts and breathing heavily, and decided to make an example of him.
Perverts – off with their “heads”!
Bye-bye, babymakin’.
I find it very interesting that a typical american commic figure (we have no comic heroes with silly outfits, we have tintin and other more folkloristic figures) has been put in a belgian surrouding…..
The big tower on the right in the background is “het belfort” in Ghent Belgium
-> http://vrijzijn.be/bd/gentBijNacht.jpg
obviously inspired by this picture
The other monument on the left is the same “belfort” but from another angel
now I’m wondering: who the hell made this picture and what is it’s context?
“Sees picture” hm… but how is he supposed to fit his head inside that tiny h… OH! OWWW!
Dying right away would be better than the infection that would form, which would be a LOT more painful than dying right away. and also, the reason the infection would form is that they didn’t know much about washing their hands and stuff.
The hole is obviously not for his head..
actually this is a fail, the flash moves so fast he can vibrate his hands out of the cuffs and escape.
That’s what happens when you flash royalty it seems…. that or he’s now Jewish and he’s regretting the decision.
Judging by the glee on the woman’s face. Flash has very little manliness to speak of. He would probably “finish” by the end of this statment
mazeltoff!
