  1. annoos says:

in fact he`s doing it very very very right

  2. Mr.Right says:

Umm. This is a failure comic. He’s in fact doing it correctly.
    That is the middle east.

  3. hurrrrrdurrr says:

This poster makes me derp. What part about that is doing it very wrong?

    • Roozley says:

Egypt is in the wrong place on that map. It should be labeled as the country west of the one that “Israel” points to (to the left).

  4. Lawl says:

Actually it can’t be more right than this…

  5. johnny says:

    that’s right you dolt

  6. John says:

    Hint: Egypt is in Africa.

  7. flatuant one says:

    very very right….

As long as Egypt and Iraq are interchangable.
And the Suez is no longer in Egypt.

    • tor2ga says:

No, according to Mr. Chris Matthews from MSNBC, the Panama Canal is located in Egypt, not the Suez Canal. Get it right because the liberal media is ALWAYS correct!!

  8. Monty says:

Its been hard enough in Iraq over the last few decades but this could be the final straw. Who’s going to be brave enough to tell them tomorrow morning they are now Egyptians?

  9. Guru565 says:

    Egypt is in africa lol

  10. yesimtrllng says:

ehmm.. There are no mistakes in that picture. I’ve been there a few times, so i would know.

  11. forkforkforkfork says:

Here’s another good one. So much for that vaunted Swiss neutrality:

    http://localhost.nl/stuff/images/cnn-switzerland.jpg

  12. Joe says:

Well this IS on Fox, so it must be right.

  13. TheLQ says:

And of course its on Fox news.

    Shows how much republicans know

    • The Eccentric says:

Fun Fact: Fox News is registered as an “Entertainment” channel, thus it’s ability to put out such innaccuracies and not being taken off the air for it. although in this case, it’s ironic satire, as they don’t know that they’re being satirical about it.

      • Kojac says:

Fun fact: Fox news is a cable channel, thus it is for pay and outside the auspices of the FCC. It can’t be “taken off the air.”

      • Blur says:

Look at the post above your’s. CNN with a mistake. All News networks do it. I don’t know how it happens, but it does.

        • lstn says:

No, only American news newtwork do it :)

        • christellar says:

As a 3rd party outsider (not american) you would be best to know that both FOX and CNN aren’t considered “reliable” news sources. They’re kind of the laughing stock reference point for “extremism”. *starwipe with rainbow* “the more you know”

        • brazilian_chick says:

Yeah, I sure as hell would like to know how can anyone get a wrong map? I mean, shouldn’t they take it from realiable sources???

    • Zach says:

It isn’t as if they made the map, they probably just didn’t look at it very carefully, which is stupid, but it happens.

  14. Dr Techie says:

Well, really, what does it matter? It’s not like anything newsworthy has happened in Egypt recently, right?

  15. Bob says:

In the wake of Saddam’s demise:

    Egypt has conquered Iraq!

  16. Sigma says:

Didn’t we do this one already?

  17. Israelidude says:

Americans don’t know where Iraq is? :P

Also, I am sad I almost wrote iRaq as in iPhone

    • Ounce says:

No, Fox News doesn’t know where Iraq is.

I would say Republicans, but that’s just little too much generalization for me.

      • Perseus says:

        Too much generilization?
…Are you sure you’re on the Internet?

      • Amonisis says:

nah, you would be rather accurate

        • tor2ga says:

Do we really need to point out some mistakes that the Democrats have made? How about Obama “visited 57 states and had one left to go”? Sure he was tired, but no one is allowed to make mistakes, right? Or maybe the hate-filled Chris Matthews, a die-hard Democrat on MSNBC, who said that getting through the Panama Canal would be hard now that there is an uprising in Egypt.

Obviously, you overlook the mistakes of those who are on “your side” of an issue. Obama and Matthews are human, and so are the people behind Fox News. Get over yourselves already.

          • Creative Anarchy says:

Admittedly it’s the mistakes made on purpose that usually get people riled up about FOX, but their slovenliness in general is kind of a poor reflection on us as a Country. Their crawl is rife with spelling errors, the have entire sections in fact-checker sites devoted to their stories and maps like this are hardly an exception to the rule for their graphics department. When Comedy Central has a better track record for accurate reporting than you do, you become a bigger joke than they are.

  18. QuietLunatic says:

Mubarak was convinced to resign with such vigor that the entire country moved? Or Fox just doesn’t want to admit that Iraq exists…just forget the whole invasion thing.

  19. Elise says:

Yeah, nothing major… It’s not like there have been huge social unrest over the last few days and the President flew after having let the country to his best friend M. Vice President. I guess we shouldn’t expect too many people to know better than Fox News…

  20. lichtbringer says:

only on fox news. shows again how less knowledge conservative americans have.

    • neurocell says:

Only on the internet. Someone attacks someone else with poor grammar.

“shows again how less knowledge conservative americans have.”

How less? Don’t you mean how much less? I love the have at the “end” of the sentence. Dude, there needs to be more. You need to tell us “than what.” Your argument would be of more value if you had one, instead of stating an idiotic opinion that is readily dismissed.

Looking at your name, English might be your second language. If that’s true, then you doubly fail. You can’t be a “bringer of light” if you cannot communicate properly. Besides, on average, conservative Americans have more money, and have completed more post-secondary education then liberal Americans , so the knowledge portion of your argument is invalid. Whether or not conservative Americans actually use the knowledge that they’ve gained is another argument altogether.

      • keke says:

        too long, didn’t read..

but i think that ur mad bro… y so mad?

      • Clemens says:

Conservatives have more money because they are crooked; they have more post-secondary education because they have the money to send their stupid brats to Harvard or Yale even when they are too stupid to piss a hole in the snow, or spot Egypt on a map.

        • Reme says:

Yeah, that’s why all the Harvard brats turn out ultra conservative like the boys from Rage Against The Machine right? Please.

      • axman5055 says:

Whoa, calling out a liberal on his error? WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? ONLY REPUBLICANS CAN BE WRONG! JIMMMMMMYYYYYY…..

      • QuietLunatic says:

If you can make this argument in any other language, preferably whatever it might be that lichtbringer speaks, then I would respect your criticism of someone communicating in a second (or third or fourth or whatever) language. If you have a grasp of only one, have a little respect for those more adept than you. If you are fluent in multiple languages, my apologies for thinking you a rude dolt.

      • Sfot says:

Just because somebody can do the tests doesn’t make them smart.

Clever as anything guy in my school still thinks thumbs are a type of finger….

      • KVN_HFN says:

“more post-secondary education THEN liberal Americans?”

  21. Violet says:

    Dear rest of the world,

We apologize for and are deeply embarrassed by “FOX News.” Please believe that not all Americans are this ignorant.

    Sincerely,
    The smart Americans

    • H3nQ says:

Apology accepted. You must be one of those sane Americans I’ve been hearing about every now and then.

      Greetings from Holland

    • Sir Butcher says:

You are like Waldo? They say you exist, but nobody was able to find you? :D

    • n00bdud3 says:

You beat me to it… I wish FOX News would go off the air, because they just fail.

      • neurocell says:

I wish all “news” programs would go off the air. They all fail. No one just reports the news anymore. Everyone just sensationalizes it. That’s how they get their ratings. I’ve seen ABC, CBS, and NBC all show the same interview, but each “news” program would edit lines out. I watched a US senator give one interview, yet because of the creative editing, each program was able to say that the senator said something different. Of course none of them reported what he actually said.

        • says:

The media is designed to scare you into buying things you don’t need and voting to give politicians more money, not to inform you.

        • Jozef says:

Haha you’re such a fail, you’re complaining about people talking with bad grammar (I myself write with bad grammar too), and then you say: “A US senator, whahaha fail!

  22. Feldar says:

Fun fact. FOX is actually owned by Democrats. Republicans (and democrats who like to make fun of republicans) are simply their target audience. Let’s not make this a political issue. It’s just FOX news being idiotic not all republicans.

    • hedgehog says:

ok, doosh, rupert murdoch is a democrat. next you’ll tell us he is American.

      way to fail @sswipe

    • Rey says:

Not fun, not a fact. Double fail by you. Fox is owned by Newscorp, guy named Rupert Murdoch. You may have heard of him. One of the biggest conservatives in the world. And, it IS a political issue, because liberals demand facts and corrections from the programming they watch, while conservatives are content to believe whatever lie Rush or Glenn or Fox tells them.

      • Blur says:

        Bull.

“…because liberals demand facts and corrections …”

All that needs to be said.

        • blur-huurrrrrrrr says:

          ^ fail

you must have not watched Glenn Beck, or Billo lately. oh wait, maybe you are… that’s why you can’t distinguish truth from fiction… trololol

          u mad?

      • KVN_HFN says:

To be honect Rey, Murdoch, will supprt whoever finances him better. In the UK, before the turn of the Millenium Murdoch’s paper The Sun, was apolitical, any political identity tended to fall to the left. Then he switched. Now he’s as reactionary as Rush Limbaugh after a minority pees on his front lawn.

I guess over in the US the Repblicans have always financed him better.

        • KVN_HFN says:

Murdoch supported the Conservatives in the 80′s right upto 1995, switching to “New Labour” in 1997 and turned Conservative again in 2009, Murdoch’s always been more cocerned with who is lining his pockets.

  23. Slyguy says:

    Taking things out of context:

    Win

    Fox News:
    Win

    Let the retarded bashing begin

  24. et3rn1ty says:

it’s a bit sad not to know where that country they’ve been fighting from time to time for the last 20 years is actually located…
it’s even sadder to see people saying “actually that’s right”

  25. Mike says:

Am i the only one who noticed that where Egypt should be is actually the border of California, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. Also, I have decided that Fox News is a satirical show.

  26. Da Boss says:

I don’t see anything wroooOOOOO OH MY GOD THIS IS TERRIBLE!

  27. Ricky says:

I wonder how many people will understand this..

  28. Miss Mutt says:

The sad part is, a lot of people won’t see anything wrong with it.

    • PX173 says:

Exactly. Everybody thinks Egypt’s in the Middle East. And everybody thinks the Middle East is in Africa. And that Egypt is in Asia.

      • J says:

To be fair, due to cultural and geographic similarities, Egypt (and Libya) are considered to be part of the “Middle Eastern Region.” It’s not like including part of North Africa in discussions about “the Middle East” is inherently wrong.

But, you know, the country they labeled as Egypt…isn’t.

  29. 木村 says:

Nice shop. Except that the news ticker doesn’t look quite like that. lolololololol

  30. Dan says:

    Well that’s Fox for you

  31. P says:

Why does this make it on the front page every few days? It’s old (2009 people…) and obviously ‘shoped.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/01/31/fox-news-cant-find-egypt-map_n_816540.html

  32. Reed says:

Obvious photoshop edit is obvious… Fox News may make me embarrassed as a republican from time to time, but no one is this stupid.

  33. Ryan H says:

This is a double fail. “Egypt” is obviously in the wrong place–though some have claimed that’s a photoshop job, which I can believe. But Iran is not the Middle East, never has been, never will be. Sloppy reporting by Fox News, but then again, is anyone here surprised?

  34. Chorkie says:

So do you guys jack off to anything that mentions Fox News, or what?

  35. Sarge says:

Fox News: Where the facts don’t matter.

  36. Reme says:

How is it no one has realized this is just a photoshop yet?

    • Creative Anarchy says:

All of FOX’s graphis are photoshopped. This is definately not how the planet looks from orbit. However, this is legitimately off the air from 2008.

      • SRG9832 says:

Have you ever heard of projections? They are mathematical representations of the earth in order to reduce the 4 types of distortion. I’d say this is fairly accurate to what it looks like from orbit. The only artwork in the map that they really did was shade the boarders of the nations in question to make them appear to pop out and be more visible. It’s really an art. Well minus the slight mistake of Egypt which this kind of stuff totally happens on an every day basis so it’s not anything against Fox News. I’ve made some of these mistakes in my career making maps as well it’s not a Fox thing I promise.

  37. Justice says:

I know people hate Fox News (despite never watching it or loving far left slanted new sources like MSNBC), but seriously, this has been published about 60 times on the fail network. No biased slant at the fail network huh?

    • wait what? says:

They go for whoever gives them the most material, which in this case is Fox News because it’s so easy to point out a lot of their mistakes.

      • Justice says:

They still choose which submissions to accept. Many people have been miffed when popular ones never feature, then Failbook’s “Dead baby” one now does even though it’s 3 – 1 negative in votes.

  38. Beat-down says:

    AMERICANS
The greatest map-makers in the land.

  39. Maltese Lad says:

    way to go yanks …

  40. Vincent says:

This is one of the reasons why people think the USA is stupid.

  41. jeff says:

Hmmm… what a debate up there, has anyone mentioned the fact that whoever posted this pic simply PASTED EGYPT over Iraq, otherwise every liberal would be screaming about this over the airwaves(or cablewaves). You guys are idiots, both sides.

  42. Umm.. says:

For all you people in the comments saying that is really Egypt: can you please point out the Nile River to me? And for that matter, where it spills out into the ocean, too.

  43. Sitting Bull says:

    Fox News. I ain’t surprised.

  44. Jim says:

    The Internet

Where everyday I am confused and scared by new evidence that the most powerful nation in the world is also the most retarded.

  45. SRG9832 says:

Okay so here is an idea, since all the other countries basically hate the US because of it’s map making let’s just stop sending trillions of dollars in aid to all the nations that hate us for our map making skills (even though I’ve seen some other people in other countries do worse) We can keep to ourselves I would love the reduction in taxes!

  46. Pete says:

As far as fox news is concerned, Egypt and Iraq are obviously interchangeable.

  47. rhiannon says:

god i love you. marry me?
