I can’t see anything either–which is odd, because I see every other optical illusion just fine. But no movement here.
Look at one, then slowly move your gaze to the other. Then to a foot. Then back up.
If you just look in one spot they don’t move. If you don’t focus, they don’t move. If you just use one eye they move very little. The effect is much greater with a larger field, for example the images on wikipedia’s artical for Illusory Motion

you could have a eye problem, brain problem, both or the connection between your eyes and brain are not working properly.
You need to get moderately close, so that only a part of the image is within your central focus of vision. As you move your gaze around, the more peripheral parts of the image–the parts you’re not looking directly at, at the moment–appear to be moving.

Oh ok I get why it isn’t working. I use a program called F.lux to subtract the blue hues from the monitor screen at night. I turned it on the daytime setting and it started to work. =^_^=

Moving my eyes around the screen I can see them moving, however, I agree that give’s headache.
Doesn’t work for me either, and I have sharp vision.
Hmm all i get is a slight almost unnoticeable wiggle in places, and a reeeealy slow sort of head bob…
But apart from that nothing. Then again I have been staring at tangent space normal maps and 3d geometry all day and a normal maps neutral color is a purple blue… the same color as the center of those spheres… so it might be ive switched off a part of my brain somehow thanks to my texture work.

Jumping in as a scientist – anyone who keeps their head still, moves their eyes, and still doesn’t see the optical illusion should get checked out. Joking aside, this sort of thing is used to test neurological function.
I watched this thing yesterday when I had a couple of beers, and they didn’t do squat. Now I’m sober and now they dance.
