This post is still a fail, no matter how I look at it. Chris Colfer is a young gay man who is not interested in little boys or girls. If it is a stab at MJ, it’s still a fail in my book. Since I believe his innocence and also think it wrong to perpetually torture an individual, particularly after they’ve passed away, this post just pisses me off.

Not a matter of being gay. I’m a straight girl and think it’s uncalled for. I get it when people mock the Twilight saga: there’s plenty to mock, it’s broken a hell of creepy people loose, and it’s not exactly doing anyone other than marketing people favours.
Maybe Glee has been ruining pop culture a bit if you don’t like the covers and maybe some people who forget they’re (almost) all covers and don’t give proper credit. On the other hand, it’s doing a lot to address bullying, how hard it can be to be a gay teenager, and how to see some light past all that. Kurt (Chris Colfer) happens to embody a lot of that.
Being a paedophile is wrong, yes. Some people think being gay is wrong, yes. Fine, let opinions be opinions. It doesn’t make it ok to put the two in the same level of evil. One thing though: I find it highly unlikely that the original poster intended to insult gay sensitivities with this picture. If that was his intention, he would’ve made sure that the caption refers to a 5-year-old boyfriend. I think it’s very possible that he came across this picture among Roflrazzi uploads, and didn’t even realize who the character or the actor was, just saw the Michael Jackson-esque glove and the slightly creepy look (as much as I adore Chris Colfer/Kurt, I do think he can look a bit creepy, especially when taken out of context, and the Dexter resemblance is also definitely there), and decided to make a lol out of it. It’s unfortunate, and I don’t think this should have made the front page. But then again, it’s not worse than all the “I have bad news, you failed the gay test” ones.

Lastly, there ARE some gay pedophiles. There are also some female pedophiles. The numbers on both these are much smaller than on straight male pedophiles, but ignoring them hurts our children.
