  3. pillermann says:

    Source?

  4. Goldhand says:

i don´t know what you mean

  5. Snow says:

    So. Much. Wrong.

  6. Paul says:

    OP fail

  7. huh? says:

    What is that woman saying?

  8. teh_claw says:

wolveriene….wolveriene…. this should not only be sent into oblivion for FAIL wolverine knowledge who is the most awesome x-men ever but also for a terrible spelling WOLVERINE WOLVERINE. and im pretty sure in a few days time wolverine is gonna come over and show why you should never spell his name wrong

  9. N0rthsideDonutz says:

You didn’t take the time to look up his name? C’mon man…

  10. StreakyTSC says:

Why is it that comics and Sci Fi attracts so many ridiculously poor spellers?
I’ve been a SciFi, and Comics Geek/Nerd since I was little, and I was the best Speller in my schools, Primary and Secondary right up until Grade Twelve… Nobody bested me. I got the straight lines of As to prove it.

    • jamisings says:

I think the only people whom do sci-fi and comics captions are people who don’t actually like sci-fi and comics. Except for a few of the Star Trek and Doctor Who ones.

      • StreakyTSC says:

Yes, D****t! Those are ones who are most similar to myself…
I note you have good spelling, grammar and punctuation as well…
Keep that up. It might not be long before we’re all a bunch of semiliterate chowder heads….

    • Daeyus says:

Unfortunately, after all your hard work at being a fantastic speller, as you so generously informed us, you haven’t seemed to grasp the correct use of commas. Neither have you settled on an accepted spelling of “sci-fi”, which is generally written with a hyphen.
Oops, there goes your “straight lines of As”.
      Thanks for playing though.

      • StreakyTSC says:

Ever hear of Comma Splicing, DOLT?
        I bet not.

        • Daeyus says:

          Yes, I have.
“A comma splice is the use of a comma to join two independent clauses where the clauses are not connected by a conjunction, semicolon, or period/full stop. [...]
Although they are acceptable in some languages and compulsory in others, comma splices are generally considered errors in English.”

So, even though you pretended you knew what you were talking about, “comma splicing”, which is generally considered as an error anyway, your use of ‘and’ after the commas means that you weren’t actually using “comma splicing”.

Oh dear, I believe that’s another fail.
          Thanks for playing though.

    • scuse me says:

      Who gives a damn?

    • Amanda says:

Who cares? I get insulting someone else’s lack of accurate spelling…but bragging about your own primary school spelling on a message board is, eh, pathetic.

    • Rasheem says:

Why wouldn’t it? Just because someone enjoys stories of mayhem and adventure doesn’t mean they can spell. If anything, it suggests the opposite–especially now that all things geek have actually become popular in the wider culture, and are no longer strictly the domain of bookish high-school misfits.

Anyway, there are far worse sins in this world than a lack of disciplined literacy.

  11. Daniele says:

    Wolveriene, X-Mien character from Marviel

  12. Link says:

For everyone complaining about the spelling, stop, it’s the right spelling. Wolveriene is Wolverine’s retarded cousin.

  13. i know, right?! blood and gore and zombies is just another fact of life, so why not just desensitize kids about it now?

  14. JAck says:

he is to badass for childern cartoons.

  15. BER says:

Wolveriene … you know, rhymes with hygiene. I’m gonna guess that the poster is equally unfamiliar with both.

  16. *Suicide* says:

Words can not describe the awesomeness…

  17. SilentGunner13 says:

    need a source for these

  18. Tigers? says:

This is kinda like showing a tiger mauling victim and saying “This is why kids shouldn’t learn about Tigers.”

To everyone who is complaining about the spelling, this is clearly not a comic nerd in the least. Anyone who has spent 5 minutes in comics will be able to tell you that there are comics for kids and comics for adults. Marvel Zombies is for adults. Marvel Heroes is for kids (and adults, for that matter cause Marvel Heroes isn’t half bad).

  19. dmb says:

Stupid caption, using a marvel Zombie statuette and talking about belonging on children TV. As if any hero from earth 2149 would be good for children TV. I can just imagine the cartoon of Hulk eating a body, then turning back to Banner and his stomach exploding like it did in the book. Marvels spokeshero is not any better.

  20. Dante says:

Who’s the woman he’s tabbing and where is it from?

    • endangeredomega says:

Pretty sure the image is from the [poorly reviewed] new series “Wolverine: The Best There Is” (though I can’t name the issue # and character off-hand.) It’s actually one of Marvel’s “mature readers” series, and the words “Parental Advisory: Not For Kids!” appear in bold font right on the front cover.

  21. Dfskelleton says:

Well, then again, remember Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm? Out of all the things to make into a kids TV show… Mortal Kombat… a game in which you can brutally rip someone’s leg off and beat them to death with it… which is actually somewhat tame compared to other things in Mortal Kombat… kids TV show…

  22. Kasseopea says:

Ohh, yeah, a real WOLVERIENE expert… btw, the statue is from the zombie-edition, and it wasnt sold to kids, so go, and fap to your hello kitty poster

  23. HercZanzibar says:

One of the few things that bothered me about the X-Men cartoon. Wolverine was useless unless they were fighting a Sentinel or something else that can’t bleed

  24. Ish Kabibble says:

Ah, all you must remember that Wolverine is the one X-Man who shows open concern for Children and their care. As his own childhood was totally messed up (and later stolen by false memories) he does what he can to protect the innocence of any child in his care. Most of his proteges in the X-universe have been teenage girls who definitely needed the strong “father” figure that he provided. Lord help Doug Ramsey or Roberto deCosta if they ever thought about taking liberties with Kitty!

  25. YourMother says:

Hey IDIOT…I know it’s been said a bunch of times but WAY TO SPELL WOLVERINE wrong….stupid kids and their inability to run the internetz

  26. musicalsoul207 says:

You’d think the people who make these posters would be more careful with their spelling. It’s pretty much a given that if something is spelled wrong, especially something like Wolverine, the post is going to be mocked mercilessly for days.

  27. Herman says:

Oh for the days of the CCA… Just because Japan is doing it doesn’t mean we should do it too.

Anyway, it’s not just Marvel Zombies that has decided to impersonate an underground comic; Punisher 4th series was just as bad, and it didn’t feature a Mature Audiences Only banner on the cover.

    • endangeredomega says:

I think the current trend towards more “adult” themes in many mainstream comics is simply because the publishers realize the average age of their audience is no longer 8-9, and closer to 38-39. With issue prices as high as 4 to 5 dollars apiece, adults are really the only group that can *afford* to buy comics as a hobby these days. To be fair, however, DC and Marvel are still trying to recruit new readers with specialized lines aimed directly at kids.

As a writer/creator of indie comics myself, I’m both opposed to censorship and the CCA, and supportive of drawing new readers to the medium. If parents don’t want their children exposed to certain themes, then it’s their job, as parents, to pay attention to & monitor what their kids are reading. The same goes for adults with more conservative tastes; you’re mature enough and responsible enough to make your own informed decisions about what you do and don’t want to be exposed to. Most books from the big two are marked with some kind of in-house rating system on the cover (usually next to the bar-code), so the contents of titles marked “rated M” or with a “Parental Advisory” shouldn’t come as a shock.

  28. Austin says:

he kinda IS in childrens cartoons… so uhhh… pretty lame caption.

  29. caroline says:

OP fail. So much of it.

  30. Matt says:

T+ is teens, not children anyway. Oh, and the rest has been said above.
