Yeah, someone from the gay community politely asked to stopped being compared to Twilight a few “Still” posts ago, as most of them can’t stand Twilight either.
What makes the meme funny is that the word is being applied in its simple, most literal context (homosexuality) about the movie Twilight. Especially how they took the vampire genre and feminized it with soap opera like plots, homoerotic werewolves, and sparkling vampires.
To summarize, it is not using the word ‘gay’ as a perjorative. The meme is saying the movie contains homosexual images and themes.
