FACEBOOK & YOU
if you’re not paying for it, you’re not the customer. You’re the product being sold.
I don’t pay for it since I do not use it. U MAD?
No one pays for it dumbass. That’s the whole point.
So no. No one is mad.
That is not the whole point.
Or at least not the point made by this motivational…
The point is that since you get things from it but you are not paying u are not a customer,u are the product, like the pigs being fed in the farm.
Captain obvious,out!
Captain obvious = Captain America
)))
and by product they mean personal info…
not only, we are the products because of the advertisments that facebook is “feeding” us
The people who use it don’t pay for it either. Thats whats this poster is about …

Some things are worth more than money.
Finally someone who points out how Facebook is slowly selling people’s souls (and privacy).
what is this ‘privacy’ of which you speak?
Privacy is a superstition, it does not appear in nature, nor do the children of men experience it. – to paraphrase Helen Keller
Sauron sees all.
Once upon a time it existed. If you wanted to say something to someone without anyone overhearing, all the two of you needed to do was go out into the middle of an otherwise-deserted field.
That is no longer true.
You can go out into a deserted field and say what you like. You can make your bedroom soundproof.
And hope that no-one has a microphone trained on your position, or planted a bug.
Wouldn’t that be parasign?
Finally someone who points out the obvious. Facebook is doing nothing wrong. People complain about privacy concerns now. If you did so when it would have had effect (say 15-30 years ago) then you were an anarchistic crazy.
I’ve got news for you people, you are the ones giving away your privacy. Facebook is fairly open about what they do. Also they are not a charitable organisation they are in it for the money.
Facebook can’t do it to you if you’re not a member. ;p
Let’s not place ultimate evil on something that has finite reach.
Even if you are not a facebook member you are still on facebook. I.E. pictures that you are in, friends talking about you etc.
So very true…
Customer is not the same as consumer.
Knowing the difference is good.
in economics they’re pretty much the same. every customer is a consumer. learn your basics
And yet, the product is its own market
On which it sells itself. Ah, the rough beauty of capitalism.
No, the market is the advertising industry.
Mind=Blown
Mmmmmmmm, pig, omnomnomnom…
I’m a Product? Goddammit!
STOP REPOSTING
TV is the same. The viewers are being sold to advertisers. It’s an effective way to do business, has been for a while.
TV is not the same. When I watch TV I don’t have to hear about your annoying kids and the uninteresting things they did.
Free food? Where???
In the free barn. Where else?
Couldn’t “Google” be substituted for “FaceBook” in that picture….?
does anyone else find it ironic that there’s a “Share on Facebook” button right under the poster?
Ironic but also convenient and FREE!
How about linking to the original source of this one-liner?
