Well if you can make someones hard drive or cd drive spin really really really fast, and cause a CPU / GPU to overheat massivly and disable all their safety features that insta shut off your computer when it reaches a certain temperature….then you might be able to get some sort of a small “boom” so yes, it does seem legit.

If you had an older style monitor…it’s actually possible. I’ve done it myself; made the monitor explode. I’d hate to be sitting in front of one; and you can send it through an e-mail too.
It’s somewhat legit, actually. They can’t make your computer explode, but they can hack your laptop and make it burn your penis off.
