Ooooo, look… a smiling, happy, well-fed, middle-class, privileged white chick who thinks she’s a Working Class Hero, and a African-American woman in police uniform. Why do I feel this is surrealistic? Who’s the oppressed, and who the oppressor? “For the Snark *was* a Boojum, you see.”
Nice way of dodging the issue buddy. How do you know that that girl isn’t buried in student loan debt?
And hey, the officer is probably just following orders. She’s not the problem personally. Her being black is totally irrelevant. Kind of interesting that you pointed that out though.
You’re exactly right. I am a 17 year-old white male, no fault of my own, and yet my parents are still broke (my moms a teacher, so she makes nothing). I have only gotten anything through hard work up through life. Why shouldn’t I be allowed to protest things I disagree with, or how about my adopted girlfriend who has had an equally hard life. I am protesting for my right to protest! Screw you, Internet!
Judging by her clothes, she doesn’t look middle class. The most expensive thing she’s wearing are either her undies or that Gir cap. Safe money is on the Gir cap.
I’m going to be an anti-joke chicken and say that she wasn’t protesting; she was taking pictures for her photography class and got arrested in one of the big sweeps.
Suppose you are correct. Then isn’t it ironic that the ‘traditionally oppressed’ black cop is the one defending the Wall Street fat cats, and the ‘white chick’ is the one opposing them and standing up for the rights of that cop who is arresting her?
F2ck the Wall Street b2stards.
Canon didn’t receive a bailout resulting in massive profits; whilst the rest of Japan struggled.
Aslo, Wall Street is not in Japan. So no, no contradiction there.
To the best of my knowledge, the OWS protests are not against the idea of corporations-it’s against the infiltration of the political system by money’d interests.
I guess if there’s a huge camera lobby in Washington, that’s one thing, but I’m pretty sure there isn’t.
Stop looking for something to invalidate the protests. If you want to dismiss them, then do it due to something rational.
they pay no sales, property or any of the many new taxes added over the years? and the top 1% don’t have loop holes, not to pay 39% of their 40% taxes.
Oh god that hat. There are a bunch of -cough, weridos- people at my school that wear that stupid invader zim hat and other invader zim clothing; like jackets. And every person that wear them are annoying as hell. Notice the ugly neon green hat of a cartoon character along with a ugly purple/blue color t-shirt and disgusting looking jacket. Oh of course this look wouldn’t be complete with bright red hair and a camera around your neck!
The girl is smiling because she knows that she is part of a meme about abuse of power amongst the police department in order to protect Wall Street.
Also, she’s cute.

You adopted a girlfriend? That’s awesome! Is that like Mail Order Brides?
With less commitment

No, it would be that camera around her neck. It’s a Cannon, so easily $200-500.
She probably saved and hoarded like hell to get it, though.

GIR? Isn’t it missing an “L”?
Gir is the name of the cartoon character on her head.
Also, I have that hat.
Can’t tell if trolling…
…Or unfamiliar with Invader Zim.
You see, “GIR” is a character from a TV show called “Invader Zim”. The hat the girl is wearing was made to look like him.
I was the turkey the whoooole tiiiimee…
Did you know that?
I am unfamiliar with invader Zim.
protesting corporations while using a Canon Camera, no contradiction there
she should’ve built her own, indeed!

the lower 60% of income in the country pays no taxes, and the top 1% pays 40% of all tax revenue. Problem?
they pay no sales, property or any of the many new taxes added over the years? and the top 1% don’t have loop holes, not to pay 39% of their 40% taxes.
Pulled that out of your a$$ didn’t you?
is there any other way?
I WANT THAT HAT!
Gir is awesome
Wonder if she’d still be smiling in a country where they shoot the protesters dead. She’s cute though.
I imagine she would not be. Fortunately, that does not in any way undercut the argument of OWS.
Finally, a cute girl in handcuffs that my parents will actually approve of!
she can get my pig,
if you know what I mean !
Aww, she got her disorderly conduct photo! How cute. Let’s put it next to her high school graduation one and all the baby photos.
I don’t support police brutality, but seriously someone needs to curb-stomp some reality into this overprivileged skinvelope.
very true
Love the little protesters love them good.
Gir caps are better than tri-corner hats.
I love the little tacos… I love them good!
TAQUITOS!!! TAAAAAQUIIIITOOOOOSSS!!!!
I guess it’s only legal to peaceably assemble if you’re not doing it to protest the corporate takeover of the government.
Obscurus Lupa? What are you doing there?
I miss that cupcake :’(
Also, I want Taco’s!!!!
Now, GiR vs Pikachu?
I dont think that is GIR. It looks like Chuck from the anime Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt! XD

typing stereos, aren’t we?
it’s ok. After you graduate high school you can get a job were everyone has to wear the same Taco Bell shirt every day
Heh, if it weren’t for my sl*tty, escorting, mentally disadvantaged ex-gf I’d never have known about Invader Zim. Random fact.
F@ck the police.
