Sigh — another two-wheel-drive idiot tries to leave the house in four-wheel-drive weather. When will laws be passed banning non-4x4s from the roads during and 30 days after snowfalls?

or when some from the US tries to drive in Canada.. I never had a problem “two wheel” driving in the worst Canadian weather.. :P

I live in the South and I can drive in snow no problem. Chains are very useful, and it’s amazing how many people down here don’t have them.

Pshh.. Drove on worn summer-tires last year all winter long in my two-wheel drive car, in the snow. Never hit anything. Just drive slow and you’re fine, with or without chains… Then again, I don’t live in Canada… (Netherlands)

            dry + pavement + breaks = ok
            wet + snow+ brakes = not ok

            2wd rear < 2 wd front < 4wd < snow mobile

            Lesson over. Drive safe :)

Agreed. An itty bitty pickup with no weight in the back and two wheel drive is my commute car. Great fun to show off to overrated 4×4 nonsense.

pfff…. someone must have let a quebecer loose during a snow storm

    • gwrczts says:

People who suck at driving will suck 4×4 when they buy one.

    • Chardrak says:

4x4s are not required to drive on icy, snow covered roads. Being a competent driver is. Should be a separate driving course/licensing for winter driving. If you can’t competently drive a Firebird with all season tires on a snowy road, you have no business on the road in any vehicle whatsoever.
